Welcome to DUST#%!.
Today I want to talk about your feelings. Feelings are important and we should all care about each others feelings. This is requisite to a functioning civil society.
However, Dust is not a society, it is a videogame. And many of you 'people' have excessively invested your emotions. Because this is a videogame I don't actually care about your feelings, and in most cases, your opinions as well.
What you can actually do in Dust is Decide.
You have to decide what you want to do, who you intend to do things with and how you are going to do things. You also have to decide how you are going to react.
For this last bit I will employ Muppets(Gäó) to assist :
You can decide to be a muppet on a bus, being driven about and screaming ineffectively about your lot in life. Screaming - http://i.imgur.com/mKbS52d.gif
You can decide to be a dude at a computer laughing about the stupid **** you see happening. Laughing - http://i.imgur.com/AUnu9Gj.gif
The Universe is yours, choose wisely.

Indeed. The game should reward planning. Including planning for the unforeseen or unpredictable.

I saved up SP and I still want a refund of the weaponry and dropsuit upgrades trees. It has nothing to with me poorly planning or predicting what was going to happen and everything to do with CCP respecting the decisions their players made prior all of this new content was released.

D: Grease! Hey. I can't get to my PS3 right now if you were wondering what's going on.
On topic: People QQ too much for me. Be emotionally invested but don't let that cloud your judgement when you don't get your way. In the last three hours I've seen some of the most stupidest claims and QQ threads by people who usually have decent things to say. I'm not calling them out, but damn.
I'll admit, at times I probably do seem like a fanboy because I try to look on the brighter side of things quite often. When I do have some major negative feelings, I don't go out posting threads. It doesn't help relieve my stress by coming off as a jackass like most people do, which is why I don't understand it.

Really? This has got to be one of the absolute dumbest things I have heard. I get the sentiment about respecs, choices, etc.
However, telling players they should expect and plan for something that does one function this day to do something different the next is just This is a very nice statement to make in a real world application but not in any video game were the developers should respect and value a players time, commitment, and yes in the case of SP in a F2P game a financial investment. |

Actually no, a civil society doesn't require you to care about others feelings. In fact, cultures that acknowledge that feelings +äre subjective and only the problem of the individual and try to use logic and reason when dealing with others, tend to be more civilized than cultures that obsess over how everybody "feels". |

Thanks for that brilliant insight of the obvious. 1.8 changes are significant foundation changes to roles based on past errors. Not expected tweaks for balance.

You are right. They can do as they please. They could make Dust 514 into a Farmville style cow-clicker if they want to... it just isn't smart if they want to keep their current player base.
And so we arrive back at my point, if CCP wants to please their (paying) customers then an SP refund for Dropsuit Upgrades and Weaponry is in order.

You can post all you want, it doesn't change the fact that I do pay, and my continued playing isn't dependent on a respec.

I'm almost inclined to agree to respec, that way they can have absurd amounts of SP and make decisions they regret all over again.
Woo respec! Let's rage on badass looking caldari heavy. Woooo! 3 weeks later they realize they dumped SP without thinking and are crying respec again.
There will be far too many regrets as is for suits. Oh I'll try out Caldari light frame level 1... argh I keep dying... I need better gear. Let's go level 3 for testing. ARGH still dying, I need the skill bonuses! Level 3 scout it is. CRAP these freaking proto gallantes! Proto it is! WHO MADE THIS CRAP SUIT ANYWAY? Respec! Respec!
