Yep, choose to be positive, you'll enjoy the game more. Too many are way too invested in this. It's Ok though kids, when you finish college or high school or whatever and move away from home into the real world and start living life outside the sheltered comfort of your upbringing, you'll see how ******** it is to be so negatively attached to 'entertainment'. When you get dealt a few ****** hands in the real world and life gets brutal and unforgiving you'll come to see how much of a waste it is to be like that. The rage, negativity, hatred, vitriol infused acid spitballs from disgruntled, empathy-less, negative and pessimistic members is unfortunate and I feel sorry for these people because while I'm playing and enjoying this with relative positivity I see people so mad that they come to the forum of a game they don't play anymore just to say it sucks. Way to live your life brah.
Seriously, every game you play of D514 or any other game is minutes of your life you'll never get back. Your finite minutes of life are slowly dropping like one big ass clone count and you're going to spend that time here? Shitting bricks, having breakdowns and belittling and berating CCP? Over a video game? Man I wish my biggest problem in life was that I was unhappy with the ******* slot layout or stats for a dropsuit in a game or that i didn't get SP from dropsuit core upgrades refunded. LOL
About 230 people have vanished off the face of the earth in a missing plane; Russia is causing international tension with its actions in Ukraine but my dropsuit's role bonus is only militia level when everyone else gets complex!! QQ! Where the **** is my proto violin, I shall serenade your woes my lil Huney Boo Boo.
Games are supposed to be an escape from all that BS, fun, relaxing, challenging; that's what DUST is to me. When you fill that escape with more dross and bitterness/jadedness and hatred towards this game your are DOING. LIFE. WRONG. (in my ever so humble opinion of course).
I'm happy to be here, I love DUST 514 and what CCP are doing with the New Eden IP and the technological advancements they're making to see that Universe. For me it doesn't need to be perfect now, I can roll with the punches as they slowly place the building blocks. It's always going to be a WIP, there will always be new content to balance and problems to iron out--there is no release build/final build for this game. There have been clear problems for the last year and things that need to be addressed but it looks like things are about to change A LOT with a more communicative EP, upcoming CPM elections and the 'next evolution of DUST 514' at FF.
I'm interested in how the game is developing and glad that I have been a round from the start so I can watch it evolve and grow and to live through all of that and to do my part on writing about it...but the day I enter into New Eden with the kind of attitude I see so much here, I am gone. But yeah, I look at these people and think, "I wish I had your problems."
Then I go and play a few games of DUST.
