I'm feeling curious.
I'll go first,
I used to play Spore and this guy was named 'Grimbot' and he made these really cool creations and stuff and then I kinda...uhhh.. copied his name, and used it ever since until I started playing DUST. To me all the dropsuits reminded me of robots, so I kept the 'bot' and added 'Arch'. This loosely translates to 'anti-bot', which I thought was cool, because that's what I'd be doing in this game, killing robots.

Favourite anime and manga? Shingeki No Kyojin/Attack on Titan.
My name comes from my favourite colossus from SotC, the 16th colossus, Malus. Malus' Latin name is Grandis Supernus.
I get the Gigas from it being a Latin word for massive/giant/big thing.
So Supernus Gigas is Latin for Star Giant or Celestial Giant. And yes, I specialize in the biggest dropsuit, Sentinels.

My family has a history of being involved in the military/police.
80% of them are some form of Sgt and/or died, retired as a sgt... And my last name is Kirk
So hence Sgt Kirk.
I also tied into My Rp as well with it. Luckily sergeants still exist in New Eden and The Gallente have Western European influences so that was a double win. The only thing that's out of place is my skin color. I've never the seen another black Gallente is space :(.
P.S. My character has some distant Minmitar heritage to explain for my...uh said "blackness"

Ridgeson came to me one day when I was in highschool, I used the surname as a pen name or for a name of a character I was writing in short stories because I just liked the word 'Ridgeson.'. When I was making this guy, I changed the first name to Joseph because I thought it flowed better than the original first name. Plus, I didn't want anyone to know the 'real name' because "it was mine."

Back in high school my buddy smoked pot with us for the first time and started giving everyone nicknames (pretty obnoxious). My middle name is McLeod so he got Mu-junk from Mu-cLeod I guess. Was originally Duck Mujunk (he had some animal theme going, he called one guy Wallaby Blanket), turned into Dunk Mujunk, and as annoying and sterotypically pothead-ish as it was, it was perfect for a gamer tag, and here we are.
Switzerland is small and neutral. We're more like Germany. Ambitious and misunderstood.

Funny and slightly embarrassing story actually, but I guess I'll share just for a little fun.
Back when I was young, around 6 or 7 I think, my baby sitter brought over a new game called final fantasy 7. Now FF7 wasn't the first RPG she had ever shown my brother and I however it was the first one I really paid attention to. I'm not a big fan of RPGs but some I do enjoy watching others play and FF7 turned out to be one of them.
Long story short my brother asked what name I'd give a character if I had the chance and I thought Nosid was clever as I was told every Final Fantasy had a Sid in it. I used the name for so long for video games and what not that it eventually became a charecter of his own with a story.
So yeah that is how Nosid became my go to name.

I created this character as a dropship pilot, so I wanted a fitting name for an airborne killer, but something understated too. I wanted "Lanius Excubitor" which is the Northern Shrike, the only songbird known to regularly hunt and eat small vertebrates. Sadly the name was taken. So I decided to just combine the "Lanius" family name which means Butcher, and combine it with "Pulvis" or Dust.
Yeah I know, too much effort, oh well, I like it.

Sorry to disappoint you, but tbh that is a better story than the truth. I imagine I probably subliminally remembered that name from the game, though I was more of a Durendal man myself.

Marauder was the name of one of the units from Starcraft 2. I was into the game before and thought it'd be a cool name. Was between this, Hellion, and Banshee. But since I didn't like playing vehicles, I chose Marauder.

I was originally Khazra Khali'un. Khali'un is my EVE family name, and Khazra is one of my main RP names. When they did the server wipe I came up with DUST Fiend as my new name. I'm pretty happy with it.

I had this friend named Alexander who hated it when people called him Alex over the coms, so we started calling him Xander. The problem was we sound a lot alike over the coms and people were always confusing us. So we started making jokes about it by switching accounts. My name has years of use. I started with Dosh on the original nintendo. Most early games only gave you 4 characters to work with. These early games I played as a fighter melee dps.
Years later it become Doshneil on early MMO games. started with barbarian dps players, but later transformed into tank styles with the name.
Antaro was added for Dust since it had a slot for a last name. I decided to go a healer route, as it was unusal for me so I knew it would be more challenging than being a pure skirmish character.

You've probably never heard of me, unless you've ever been to Canton... I'm kind of a big deal there.
Canton's an Amarr ceramics facility that's very profitable, mostly due to the Minmatar slave labor they use. I was involved in a private contract with some other mercs, a corporate theft with a gorram massive ISK payout. We made it out with the cash, but the getaway got fouled up -- our Incubus started taking forge shots, and we had to start chucking stuff off the dropship to stay airborne. Hell, we got so desperate that I even chucked one of the other mercs out the door -- hey, more ISK for me, amirite?
True story: this merc actually activated his inertial dampers just in time and survived, but I only discovered it years later when I found myself back in that same town, doing another contract with a smaller corp I started running with (smuggling jobs, mostly). He was pretty pissed, but screw him -- he'd have done the same to me, I just was quicker. I ended up having to terminate him in a nova knife fight.
But dumping all that cargo still wasn't enough, so we were forced to toss out all that ISK, too -- right over the facility, into the hands of those gorram filthy Minmatar slaves. Dumbest thing I ever did.
They even wrote a song about me and everything. You wouldn't believe it.

I took a Mandarin paper back in Uni, flunked it.
Wanted a cool pinyin screen name so went with Outsider, which I thought was Waiyuren... It's not, that would be Wairen.
Turns out my cool screen name actually translates as Foreigner.
Could've been worse, like those poor guys/gals that walk around with the "cool" Chinese tats that they think means peace, love, and mungbeans or somesuch, but actually says "I am a ****".
Shouting doesn't make your opinion seem more valid, it just makes you seem more annoying.
