Duvolle Assault Rifle: -----> 12.5 * 33 = 412.5 Six Kin Assault Combat Rifle: -----> 20 * 21 = 420
What is the Assault Rifle getting that makes it usable, let alone worthwhile..?

Probably because increased ttk will reduce the effectiveness of the ACR compared to the AR due to the small clip size, thus balance (maybe).
No idea about the AScR. |

No idea about the AScR. But should be more than made up for by: The reduced CPU/PG requirements Increased range Tighter hipfire Better hipfire (high fire rate weapons hip fire better) Faster reload
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Food for thought, level 5 Minmatar Assault will have an 85 round magazine on the Assault Combat Rifle.

The reason comes down to the fact that CCP do not undersatnd competitive FPS, nor do they test anything in competitive environments. That is why the shotgun only hits within half of the given reticle, thats why snipers damage is terrible, scouts take A LOT more fall damage than any other class, heavies have equal turn speed to scouts and on and on and on.
CCP need a test server that allows players toplay on the "other contracts" area that lets us test their changes, we are better at testing than they are, hence the fact thats all that has even been done by us since closed beta.

Much more damage per clip. BK-42 ACR = 1360 damage per clip. GEK = 1890 damage per clip. That's the difference between consistently killing a Sentinel in one clip and not.
Respec in 1.8 due to huge battlefield role shift for MinLogi!

Whereas an HMG has a much higher DPS than either of them, and the consideration (as mentioned above) that a Minmatar Assault can potentially have an 85 round magazine bringing it's damage per clip to 1,700. I'm sorry but having more damage per magazine in the clip is sort of offset as well by the fact that the Assault Scrambler Rifle has a damage per clip of 2,457.
EDIT: Oh look at that the ASCR has a DPS of 401.48, higher than the AR and the ACR... Great...
