I've been wondering about the players who are racking up over 2k WP. Most often I notice those players are either in tanks or sporting boundless hmg. Only a few times have I seen a name that wasn't either of those. If this is the norm, it is very telling.

The short version is:
get gud, scrub
But seriously, I can sometimes go over 2500 warpoints running solo, and most my points I gwt from hacking everything on the battlefield with plenty of kills mixed in.

Being a squad leaders with good squadmembers + defend order helps gaining WP too.
You're observaties aren't correct, just look at all the people that whine about logistics getting too much WP for helping out there team.
All suits should be able to get that score, hell You even can get that with a MLT Scout suit if you are smart enough to go after those enemy objectives that are undefended for 10 min while everyone tries to suicide to get in the heavily guarded city.
It also depends on the skills of your teammates and opponent. |

I've gone over 2k numerous times, as a scp scout. It's all about well placed uplinks, hacking, counter hacking, and the occasional kill. Granted, over 1600 or so isn't the norm, but it's doable - if you just focus on one thing (killing, hacking) it's hard to do without a proto fit designed to just do that. Multi task, however, and seize opportunities when they present themselves, and it's not that hard... |

It's not just tankers but tankers usually get a good headstart by killing all the turrets which are +100 and then being the only thing that can reliably take down another tank which is +150 each plus a person inside so +50.

run a full time repping ammo hive pen toting logi running with a group of heavies does not take long to get 2000 wp..
though you will die a fair amount and those setups are costly even at only advanced level gear. |

^ do this. It's a bad skirmish/dom game for me if I finish under 1500WP. It helps if you have the time/dedication/masochism to learn to fly a dropship- placing your uplinks in high places means they're unlikely to be destroyed and will get you many more WP over the course of the match.

Whenever I get a large amount of WP, I sometimes astonish myself. It's not that I get ultra high numbers of WP like some people (5088 is the most I've gotten, and that was pretty much a one off match where I also only died once or twice), it's because I consistently get at least 2000 WP every match. Without trying.
I think I now realise why:
80% of the time, I'm the one with the defend order. Self explanatory.
I always run a core focused repair tool, and I try to heal anyone if their armour bar is dented. I like running this because it allows you to turn anyone (Especially heavily tanked suits like heavies) into an unkillable nightmare. It's also saved my squad mates many times.
A thing to note for those unfamiliar or uncertain of the WP mechanics of the repair tool: The repair tool has a high maximum cap on the points you can earn with it. Getting a higher grade repair tool makes your points come in faster. Since you get points for amount of health healed, upgrading your repair tool does not get you more points, it just gets you them faster. It is possible to get all the points and stop receiving them, but the cap should reset after a couple minutes or so (it feels like a couple minutes, anyway). Keep in mind that the cap is higher than it used to be and you can get lots of points.
I try to keep the entire area lit up with my proto quantum scanner. Hooray, scan kill assist points left right and centre!
80% nanite injector. Stabby stab stab. Remember to make sure the area is safe. Failing that, use your best judgement; only get people up if you think you can help them survive. Works great for saving people from losing their stuff.
Quantum nanohives. Blah blah blah, yeah Alloteks are great but hear me out. You can carry 4 of these things, and they have you at max ammo in 4 pulses. Cost less to fit than Alloteks. Yeah, my Scr is extremely efficient for ammo but I like having more ammo to give. I think the faster you resupply, the faster you get WP. I don't like using Alloteks because they force me to stand still to heal and resupply agonisingly slowly. Once they run out, I've got no ammo to give people. I hate how they don't resupply and heal at the same time (It heals you to full, then gives you ammo), and besides I've got a repair tool for a reason. I admit that running Alloteks makes a lot of sense, but I do fine with 11.25 repair per second anyway. In short, Alloteks just don't fit with how I play.
Scrambler rifle. Visiam. Proficiency 5. Lots of damage and well placed shots = Kill kill kill. One of the most important things to how I play is being confident that I can win fights. I want to be good at defending myself and killing. I am terrible when it comes to managing overheat (Must pay more attention), but I like it more than any other weapon and use it almost exclusively. Having a friend with a rail/combat rifle is a winning combination.
It does feel too easy to get WP sometimes. |

You can get a lot from uplinks as long as you're not a dipshit and drop them in useful tactically sound spots. Easiest way is find a good squad and work together. And well, lots of practice lol

There are no faster ways to get SP in this game than through the effective use of the armor repairer and deployment of uplinks. If you can only carry one, the armor repairer is the one. |

Agreed. Rep tool @ 25 WP for triage on a sentinel will easily get you up to 2000. If you're a logi and can carry uplinks too that's another 25 WP per spawn. Aaaaand if you're a good logibro and not just some d-bag running around with one to get easy points at the expense of others, you can carry nanite injectors for 60 WP for a couple of revives. Factor in kills and some hacks and theres no reason you shouldn't be getting 2000+ WP per match.
