Saw this guy test a 9mm on a old WW2 helmet, and a Modern Kevlar helmet.
Same result. Bullet went through.
This is the future mind you, but just thought to let you know. Probably our shields that can protect us from lighting aflame from shooting our Sunspitters can handle a shot or two.
Plus, We have some (apparently VERY) strong armor beneath our shields, that can hand the heat as well. And getting shot be a high intensity laser multiple times.

And getting shot be a high intensity laser multiple times. thats the thing, it depends on the caliber(9mm) and type of round he used, and the fact that the helmets are designed for stopping shrapnel not bullets the WW2 hemet was designed to help prevent injury from airburst and other forms of artilery, and the kevlar helmets of today are more for IEDs and other explosives, thats why the vests and plate carriers have both kevlar and ceramic/steel plates in them Think he sad Hollow Point in the vid...
I would just say, To my knowledge, Helmets we're always mean't to stop the things coming at your head in general, not just one thing in partiular.
