Scanner nerf now means anything under 28 Db walks unnoticed unless its the duvolle Focused which picks up 20 db. 2 advanced profile dampners at lvl 4 proficiency gets under 28 db. 1 scanner picks that up and its 46 cpu/6 pg. The profile dampner is a low slot item.the proto Gallente assault has 4 low slots. So do proto scouts.
Precision enhancers are high slot modules. You need full proficiency at precision enhancers and 2 complex precision enhancers equipped on a proto scout to catch an assault suit with 2 advanced profile dampners in 1.8. I Believ only the minmatar proto will be able to pick that up with complex precision enhancers.
So a minmatar scout with 2 low slots used for profile dampening and 2 high for procission enhancers is even worth playing?
my proto gal assault has 3 highs, 4 lows with +2 armor regen in 1.8. You mean to tell me that:
1complex feralscale plate 1 enhanced armor plate 2 enhanced profile dampners 1 complex sheild exstender 2 complex damage mods and a Boundless combat rifle with 12 pg and 46 cpu remaining(while running 6.79 with movemeny speed of 4.85).
What scout comes close to that when I got 689 total hp?
Maybe not the best ambush fit(unless running solo) but it is amazing in skirminsh.
Go 3x damage mods you still have 600 hp......while basically invisible with a boundless.
HOW THE HELL DO YOU TAKE A PROTO SCOUT OVER THAT?
I havent even thought of kin kats yet.
Seriously.......if you cant get the jump on a heavy and win with that....i dont know what to tell you.
There's 1 Major flaw in your entire argument. If I wanted to (I will probably never do this) I could take my proto gallente scout with 2 highs and 4 lows and put 2 complex shield extenders and 4 enhanced plates, a proto weapon, a proto/advance sidearm, and still have 2 equipment slots to fit stuff in all while having around 700 EHP or possibly more.... and still run faster and beat all but 1 scanner.... Thats why!!! lol

Im still going gal assault before ANY scout. Most scouts don't need more HP, we'll be running speed mods, cloak, and damps with high alpha dmg weapons like shotgun and NK. Your point is still invalid comparing the two...but hey if you want to run a gimped assault fit to play as a loosely based scout be my guest. |

nova knives are noble weapons. Im never mad when they kill me. Its a true skill/tactical weapon. BUT SERIOUSLY....maybe 5 guys can actually use them.
And shotties are grwat untill you are spotted, then its all about range and dps. Ive killed MANY scouts today.
Reality is gal assaults do 90% of scout work better. it May not satisfy niche scout types looking to be ninjas but the gal assault Over all is better than any scout suit period.
+2 armor regen.
I have to disagree, I run my scout 100% of the time and you can't have speed, stealth, and mobility all at the same time with any assault suit. Plus the shotgun received a buff with the proficiency changes and with the cloak, range becomes a non issue. Also gallente scout gets 3 innate armor reps now. |
