I've just read some nonsense from True Adamance complaining about having the 2nd longest range behind the RR as well as a post from Aisha saying how weak the SCR is going to be in 1.8 ...
Honestly it's ridiculous .. how can you complain after getting the smallest nerf ?
I haven't complained about the RR being nerfed I just feared it'd be overnerfed and the SCR would be left alone but I'm glad the SCR has been nerfed as well as the other rifles and i'm interested to see what the changes are like in 1.8.
ScR overheats very quickly when not on an assault suit, no other rifle (aside from the amarrian laser rifle) has this problem. Miss a shot now, die. You can cause ~600 damage before overheat now on a non-bonused suit. How much damage can you do before you are rendered 100% helpless?
ScR is by far the hardest of the rifles to fit by a LONG way.
ScR and TAR are the only true skill-shot rifles.

If you look at the pics, the cloak is gonna rule.
Imma be cloaked for as long as I possibly can in all honesty.
Note though: You have to have over 50% charge to cloak again.
This means that the Basic cloak will require 15s to be used again from empty
The ADV will require 15, but the PROTO will require 20s.
But with 80s of cloak from the proto, I doubt you will be seeing you go below half charge a lot. That's 40s of cloak to burn through.

Rail rifle is only a little bit easier to fit and if you know that the gun you are using overheats quickly try not to be so trigger happy. The nerf that the ScR received is really not that bad, its still gonna have the highest alpha damage, its still gonna one shot a lot of suits be glad that it hasnt been nerfed a lot more.

I cant be BUT happy about 1.8, because all the bull **** damage mods they would put on there and 1 hit Scouts with it. It's about GOD DAMN time we go back to 1.2-1.3 era when my KDR sky rocketed because of Scouts being OP. Wooo I can't wait. And, "eat shield" LIKE EVERY WEAPONS IN THIS GAME.
Less damage means it's going to be rough to kill someone witohut overheating.
Anyway we're not really complaining about the weapon it self but the fact proficiency is USELESS on it.
While others weapon (Anti armor) will become OP.
Especially CR who have no penality. (5% on shield...is NOTHING.) |
