1. AV and Flux grenades didn't need to have their count reduced. Before any shield tanker comes in here and complains, flux grenades are really only useful to remove equipment and locus grenades already strip the shields of shield tankers anyway.
2. Breach AR didn't need a nerf, if it was left alone it would actually look pretty good
3. You didn't nerf the scrambler rifle as much as the other rifles, probably because of overheat reasons. But you also spared the ASSAULT SCRAMBLER RIFLE from the nerf the other rifles got. So what does that mean? Well, the Assault Scrambler Rifle now has higher DPS than the AR.
That's right, it has more range, larger clip size, faster reload and now it also has higher DPS! (Used to be very slightly lower than the AR)

Now here is something that baffles me very much, because these werent parts of a blanket nerf, CCP specifically left them out.
The Assault Combat Rifle AND the Assault Rail Rifle too didn't get such a nerf. So now weapons with more range will do more DPS than the AR? Really? REALLY?
That's it, AR officialy dead (again), new rifle FOTM is the Assault variants of any of the other rifles.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Yeah but that Assault ScR has some serious kick issues, I hate using the thing. It has less kick than the AR. Try to fire both non stop, the AR will go wild while AsCR will stay in place.
The "shake" is purely visual and doesn't affect where your gun hits.

The AR has been useless for an entire build now It's funny you should say that because the weapons that are actually useless are things like the MD, the laser, the flaylock, the Plasma Cannon. The AR is still widely used. It's just been overshadowed lately by it's even more OP cousins - the new rifles. Useless out of the four rifles. Happy? :P

Part of this patch was obviously meant to better balance the hitscan bullet hoses vs the other weapons that, despite no one using them, still exist in the game. In short, there's more to Dust than rifles and hopefully this will only get more so. Again, this has nothing to do with the problem at hand. Im sorry, Cat Merc, but I pointed out in my first post that you are right about the grenades, but when you say the AR is dead, that's where you're really, really wrong. It remains to be seen if all of the hitscan bullet hoses remain OP, but currently they all are. Including the AR - relative to the rest of the pack. Dust has been this way forever, and it's about time that adjustments were made. The AR is still better than a chunk of weapons in the game, so how can you say it's dead without at least acknowledging that it's only dead relative to the rest of the OP hitscan field. Dust isn't all about hitscan rifles, and those weapons need to be part of the discussion if someone is going to declare a weapon "dead". there are much more "dead" weapons in Dust than the AR. The AR is already dead in competitive play. I haven't seen a single plasma rifle in my PC match yesterday. Not a single one. Just as many as MD's, Flaylocks (Actually saw one, but he didn't get a single kill with it) and Laser Rifles.
So yeah, if the ACR and AsCR stay as is, AR really is dead.

Now, back then lasers and MDs were useful. Lets hope they are again.
Oh, and for the record, all three were nerfed. Some repeatedly. Also, they didn't become useless solely due to fixes in hit detection. They became useless due to nerfs and due to AA being introduced which made the already OP hitscan bullet hoses even more OP.
Chromo near the very end became a laser fest as people realized their power. I remember a couple of days before chromo ended I was in three matches, all three had 5 - 7 laser rifles, getting the top scores.
And it was all different people.

The Magsec SMG was barely hit, so it's now a compact AR, excellent! That's it, AR officialy dead (again), new rifle FOTM is the Assault variants of any of the other rifles or Magsec SMG. 1. We don't know the Vehicules Balance : Wait and see. 2. Breach AR is useless and nobody use it, delete it, more people complain about than use it. 3. AsCR and SCR have bonuses on shield which is low (So...useless bonuses) and penality on armor which is 80% of ehp of..everybody. So they almost have a native 20% Permanent Nerf. Assault Combat rifle needs a bigger nerf i agree since they have ...weird bonuses. 10% bonus on armor but only 5% penality on shield...AND they got the best DPS...something is wrong here...... AsCR get an extra 20% damage to shields, just like they get -20% to armor. So in the end their all around effectiveness doesn't take a hit from the different resistances.
SCR does, since the overheat is significant and chewing armor is going to be an issue.
Oh and confirmed, vehicles were not touched.
