I thought I was completely horrible at tanking, from trying the default Sica fit with no skills, but once I trained Large Rail Turret to 5, I was no longer horrible. That turret rotation speed bonus makes all the difference in the world. It sort of shoots down the argument that Melita tanks are an AV choice available to anyone. Without full turret skills, anyone in a militia tank is a sitting duck against other tanks.
The issue is you that you can spam militia tank fits that are far more lethal threats than all but the most blinged out AV fits and cost a fraction of the ISK.

I have a chart for that. This is the chart. The beige bar is the vehicle. IT starts at full health. The vertical axis is remaining health. The bottom axis is hits to kill. This is modeld on them taking a few hits, hiding for 15 seconds then taking a few more and so on.
This image is from my next video about how broken swarms are. Its a monster of analysis. If you like charts it WILL be the video for you.

Btw my comment was more centered on AV viability of the militia rail tank vs the viability of infantry with proto swarms...either way the charts you produced are relevant to both takes on the comment!

I clearly don't see the Forge Gun of 1.7 being in a good state and considered it underpowered for being a heavy weapon class. I agree that the dropships pre-1.7 couldn't handle the Forge very well and has suffered to bad perception on the forums. This being sad the damage output per shot in 1.7 is fine as the current ADS can speed tank most incoming damage. Re-adjusting the rate of fire and returing some of the mass driver qualities of the weapon would help make the weapon less frustrating with the new 1.8 damage reduction.
I have a list of mild conserns I should draft up and post. Examples like I see 1.8 not being able to use a breach forge gun to one shot most installations with double damage mods. Yet, Mostly I think the ROF and Splash was to far a reduction as prevously it was receiving tons of indirect nerfs from mechanics changes from earlier builds.
Forge Changes needed Officer Splash 3.0, Proto 2.7 Advanced 2.5 Standard 2.1.
Original ROF needs to return!

Haven't heard that suggestion before...I like it. I think a mild dmg increase per level would be warranted but I really like increasing range per tier.

Bla bla bla this might be a "butt hurt" that will be felt in first weeks of 1.8, predicting something right now having no clue how it will work on field just guessing by numbers, I tell you that brain is not capable of doing such computations based on some stat numbers comparing your previous experience to new stuff, so stay chilly and watch. Of course we can predict how it will work and what is already wrong, how CCP does this and why does that. Why to predict, don't you know how to wait? Making guesses and staying nervous for no reason or your favourite OP weapon gets nerfed and you feel that your EZ mode will vanish? Take a break till 1.8; you will be hungry for it after a break. Cloakcloakcloak...
P.S.: Considering NDA CPM won't tell much.
This is a game, the rest is up to you.

One of the reasons why there are multiple missiles variances between levels it to probably help pilots determine what is getting shot at them. Proto, Avd, or Basic.
Probably.
If there is then I wished that all other weapons follow similar format. More proto it is the more evil the color.

Since you are here IWS. I re-posted my updated swarm video. I cannot tell if the damage against shields and armour being the same is a bug or by design. Perhaps you know or at least can clarity with the devs.

That's good. Thanks. My main concern regarding clarity is so that I might take corrective steps if I have made a mistake that might agitate the community. We don't want me running round screaming that the sky is falling if it 's just that I forgot to carry the 2.
