With the coming damage mod nerf, I have no more desire to spec into the caldari heavy suit. Was really looking forward to the tank slaughter....... all those would have been tears........
Was curious to know how many people will spend SP on suits "outside" their born race?

I will stay with what I got, probably put some points into Caldari Heavy to get Commando/Sentinel. If there is an infantry refund, I will have like 2-2.5 million free SP. Of course if there is no refund and I continue to save my SP, I'll have probably close to 3 million anyway.
So not too much of a change for me; grabbing Caldari stuff and continuing to use my Caldari Weaponry, will probably grab a level in both Magsec and Bolt to see which I prefer. I look at the game as "if I choose something fun that is underpowered, things will change to where it will be more inline with everything else but I at least will still have fun." |

Gallente assault fit scout with an RR/CR.

What I have? No, but I never planned on it.
Come 1.8, with just dropsuit respec, I'll have Min Assault, Logi, and I'm leaning towards scout, though I may wait a bit on that.
If full infantry, I'll keep my weapons as as is, maybe knock RR down to Prof 1 instead of 3 and throw the extra points into the new sidearms (so I have them) or just points into my CR.
No respec, I've already gotten almost all my modules for the switch to speed/shield tank (from being a rep tanking Gallente suit user), I'll just debate on which of the 3 Minny suits my extra points will go towards.
xSivartx is my Heavy. There are many like him, but he is my own...
So, other Logi's back off, those are my Warpoints!

i'm keeping my scout gk.0, maybe keeping my minmatar scout, but there's a possibility i'll switch to a scout ck.0 and build it exactly like my scout mk.0 now but with 1 more shield extender. all depends, really.
as for weapons, i'll probably relinquish all my skills in every light weapon except for shotguns, and put them into sidearms. i already have every sidearm in the game at AT LEAST proficiency 3, and i don't plan on changing that when the new weapons come out.

I'll get all models of Minnie Suits, but I no longer will know how to use them because my only crutch in the game was stacking damage mods....my entire game has been weakened...and it was weak to begin with....no gun game.
I hide and Snipe.
I hide and Scout.
I stand there and Heavy.
I run around and Logi.
that's it...no gun game....I'm screwed.....

I was really looking forward to all the new fat suits. I've been playing HMG Amarr Heavy for a year and a half now, and it was getting a little stale.
And after looking at everything getting released and seeing how it stacks up, I can confidently sayGǪ
GǪthat I'll still be specced into HMG Amarr Sentinel for 1.8. 
(I got 2-3 million SP for something else though. Looking forward to finding ways to make that weakling Minmatar gorilla suit fun.)

Just shy of 30 million SP and all I have skilled into is Minmatar Logistics to proto. Only weapons skills are Gallente AR maxed out, except optimization...Combat Rifle to level 3 operations/proficiency...Swarm Launchers to level 3 operations/proficiency. Everything else is in Core Skills. Nothing in vehicles.
Don't think I will be changing anything if there is a repec. Although I would probably not skill Minmatar Basic Medium suits to proto again since it is no longer required.

I don't understand why they don't just have a FOTM club, where you pay a set amount of AUR every month to be given what CCP wants people to win with.

I will stick with the logi role on this toon. Probably go into Minmatar suits for the repper bonus. I just really hate their appearance though. Out of all the suits this one is the worst to look at. I almost don't want to run Minmatar in protest about how ugly they are. Can we at least have something ascetically pleasing. It's been 200 years since the Rebellion you would've thought they would have built newer looking things by now. |

I'm a Tanker, i used Proto Sentinel w/ Complex Armor Mods, Damage Mods & Proto ScR. One of my friends is a logi, he mostly follows me around not shooting anything & just healling my Armor, but man the WP hes gaining.
I will use an HW (Heavy Weapon) but once CCP made an Amarrian Version of an HW i will use it, at the moment, i'm using my trusty ScR, because why not.
& speaking of Heavies with Light Weapons, theirs no point in complaing if an Heavy is using a Light Weapon or not, an HMG can tale you down before a Light Weapon can, so what's the problem?
Yes, Light Weapons have better Range than HMG, but what about Forge Gunners? 1 hit kill any infantry (Direct Hit). |

if I was to go FoTM I'd run Gal or Cal Scout with a RR

Well ... i can either keep the suit i have and spec into the weapons that benefit from the new bonuses, or i can spec into a new suit that benefits from the weapons that i already have.
Either way i have to change my isht up. |

I was a heavy during the pre-urprising days, I loved it and dtuck with heavy for uprising thinking all would be fine. When the HMG got the hammer brought down and became useless I GTFO the fat suit first chance they gave us. Now i'm a gal logi who has stocked up gastuns HMG and FGs and really wishes he could use them .
Still deciding between CAL and GAL heavy though. Anyone willing to give me a tl;dr for the sort of playstyles that each heavy benefits from? |
