The way I see it I have to put an extra 2-3 shots into a standard suit with my proto scram rifle while they will need to put there entire clip of what ever rifle they are using into me reload and hope the second clip does the job.
Just saying in 1.8 you will see 1.7 TTK is not so bad...

at most, it's a 15% weapon damage drop off, on some weapons, it's a lot less.
TTK isn't going to drastically change from what we have now.
5-6 more bullets at most to kill someone.

- damage mods - profieciency damage
+ everybody in the game trading the 2 damage mods for 2 complex extenders
= pretty big increase

15% decrease to weapon damage, everyone will be running shields instead of damage mods, no damage mods means lower damage as well, and then we will have the fact that everyone will be running heavies for more hp, and these heavies will have damage resistances.
without stats we can't do the math but expect things to live alot longer then they do in 1.7. |

I doubt you will be laughing when you come up against another armor plated amarr suit, or an amarr or gallente heavy. Hell even a gallete medium suit. Especially against a rail rifle or a combat rifle. Just saying. |

rail rifle got nerfed and if you are against a shield tank it will have a very hard time getting past their tank.

If you make yourself harder to kill, others will opt for something easier.
In other RPGs, I prefer the rogue class where we live a shorter lifespan but deal critical damage. Has been the same way here and will be in 1.8. I'm just going to enjoy it more since the majority of players will become less mobile and reliant on direct conflicts.
Let's not forget that scouts will also be fast AF and harder to see. Shotguns and Nova Knives don't care about your resistance either. Commandos will be more mobile than you if you stack armor plates, and deal more damage as well. Laser Rifles and Mass Drivers will obliterate those who can't move fast enough...

And all the people who see a MD buff and jump on the bandwagon, when they run into their first Cal Heavy, will jump right off. Aren't shields 20% resistant to explosives? Combined with the splash damage resistance of Sentinels, you won't be able to break them shields by yourself with one volley, I believe. If you do, it won't be by much, and they'll regen a decent chunk, if built properly, while you reload (if shields are broken).
Those dedicated people will massacre though. I used to be that dedicated, but I'm to afraid to use it in FW because blue dots are stupid and I kill enough as is on purpose. So, I'm horribly out of practice, so fear sentinels, I won't be hurting you much.
xSivartx is my Heavy. There are many like him, but he is my own...
So, other Logi's back off, those are my Warpoints!

i hope your right but CAL heavys might be 1 or 2 players so plenty out their they can chew though. but to be honest so much is changing until we see how people take to it we cant really call it, iv already seen how i would counter some of the theroy crafting going on, at of virtue that i will be able to go invisible :P

Flux aren't considered in any of the resistances...One hit from that and someone can spam their MD until the heavy's dead.

1 forge gun shot will still do the trick on all but the tankiest heavies. |

A viziam ScR with two damage mods + high prof skills is a beast. well, I guess I still have a little while to get in some more OHKs.
Balls.
That is all.

I think you are going to see more skill involved and less relying on stacked mods, really have to think about how to fit suits and how to engage different targets.
