This one is simple, give weak points to vehicles that infantry can take advantage of, I heard there was a spot on the back of a tank that if you hit with a forge round does massive damage, idk if that actually exists but something similar would help and then you could tank out vehicles as much as you want and infantry will still have relevance.
First thing that comes to mind is tread HP, allow tank treads to be knocked out for a period of time.
Dropships maybe should lose a bit of mobility if hit in the thrusters.
Any other ideas? Maybe a generator sticking out that you could shoot at with a rifle, maybe an enemy who could get close enough to a dropships grab on to it and start shooting some circuits.

sounds like you're just making ways to annoy pilots. No. Also, every vehicle has a weakpoint.

Regardless of how surprising it would be to find something like that in the coding, I think it's stupid to go about balancing vehicle and infantry combat with nothing separating them besides HP, why not allow players to knock out treads on a tank and having them be otherwise unkillable unless you had a few decent forge gunners or another tank?

Considering the spots on the back of a HAV is the size of a heavy's head's hitbox, yes it is.

That's not a weak point, that's no better than a coding glitch. If this is what players have to rely on to deal more damage or to even out the playing field for infantry vs. vehicle combat then it's nothing but a joke and a good reason for why this post exists in the first place, CCP has to have better ideas than what's essentially an exhaust vent leading to the core of the death star, the force isn't strong with everyone.

When you are looking at an enemy of any sort it tells you an efficiency rating. This number will change when looking at different areas of the suit or vehicle your targeting.
There most certainly are weak spots on all vehicles and suits.
For me to tell you where they are is against my religion so I will not.
No you kill this blueberry hacking the CRU we are camping. I already killed the last 2.

Not against mine, i'll give you 2:
HAV: look for a square on the back about the size of a car battery
DS: you'll hit harder on the thrusters

ill have you know I just hit in the back of my dropship last night with a railgun (by a blueberry no less) as I was preforming a VERY tight fit thou some girders and it nocked me out of alignment bashing my end into the wall casing me to crash. that mechanic is in the game already and since you cant really see the treads on armor tanks that wud just make them more OP just what we all want right?
Bunny hoping stair heavy?!? THE END IS NEAR!!!!

On a Gal tank you can aim for those glowing circles on the sides (took out a madruger with just 2 REs this way). Cal tanks have a small fuel tank on the back, this is your target.

I think it would be interesting (possibly terrible, possibly awesome.) if infantry weapons did full damage to the vehicle weakspots. At least then infantry would have a minuscule chance of retaliating. |

What idiot would inefficiently design a tank to be susceptible to an infantrymans small arms rifle......?

Full proto heavy here. As recently there has been a spike in tank usage I decided ( about a week into 1.7 ) to look for these as I saw the damage efficancy ( or what ever its called ) go from im gonna make up some numbers 90% to 150% (I complely made those numbers up but it was similer ) so k spawned a tank at the redline in my redline and searched for a weak spot and I know that a tank has one on the back which all scouts with re's know about and dropships have one on the thrusters. Now I have 1 thing to, say. You are an idiot.... name one real life modern tank which a standerd bullet could shoot through. No gun beside the swarmi, plasma cannon and forge gun should be able to even slightly injure a tank or dropship. Butt.... I think in fueature there should be a certain nade that makes a kick ass effect when you through it at a vehical and powers down the vehical for like 2secs and a proto one would have to be like 5secs. Also this nade would be a branch coming of nade skill tree and require level 3 nades. And 1 more emp eve strikes.. make emp strikes do no team damage cause the squad lead gets kicked from them too quickly and make them power vehicals down for 3secs or so.
