With all of the anticipation of 1.8,I think if they delay it again,a lot of people's heads might explode.

I think I will put on my rose colored glasses and tell you all that CCP is the best and they have a plan or some other fanboy BS that uses big words that I have to look up to spell. I enjoy DUST most of the time so I guess I'll just keep on playing and not flip about it too much.
I think I am more nervous than excited, I remember the last time major changes rolled over DUST. Many were not too thrilled will the changes that release brought. I am nervous that the same thing will happen. To be 100% honest, I am actually quite worried that the amount of changes will hurt us. I try to stay positive about stuff but I am worried.

What do you mean delay "again". It was never previously delayed, from the beginning it was never meant to follow the monthly cycle, and the monthly cycle was never said to be permanent.

At this point, I would expect it. Typically, in project management, you set expectations low and if you deliver sooner than your customer wants it looks good on you... But when your customer doesn't even have the faith in you to deliver any particular time, that's a bad sign.
If they dropped 1.8 in mid-April I'd shrug and keep playing Civ V.
TL;DR: I wouldn't trust CCP with a melted Snickers bar.

They said February-March but of course everyone just takes that as February and then when it arrives in March that means "delayed."

Well in all truth and honesty,aside from something financially catastrophic,I'll have my PS4 in a couple of weeks,and depending on how I'm feeling about it and the games that I'll be playing,it's gonna be really hard for me to look back and play PS3 anymore.I'll have the best console on the market,and I already have a PC that's capable of running games better than anything on PS3,so why bother playing it anymore?Answer is,I probably won't.
Pushing back a more than necessary update would further ****** any potential of growth for Dust.Imo,they might as well put it out sooner than later whether it's finished or not,because it's not like when it's finally is released that there won't be any bugs that will have to be patched anyway.

I wouldn't call three months rushing it.
To be honest they never originally told us they were going away from the monthly release cycle which is a bad way to handle things but typical of CCP.
Then they finally said mid Feb to mid March release sometime around January 20th I believe.
Now I really don't care. Since I am just looking forward to a release I can count on... Dark souls II!

Would give me more time to further develop my fledgling pride and joy Matari merc! He's sitting on a humble 4.1 mill SP but getting another month would mean proto min scout and hacking 5.  Man I can't wait till I have as much SP as my main (33 mill) on this guy. 
I'd be gutted of course, I want that **** NAO...but my past has put me in a place where I generally don't get myself too worked up over video games. I roll with the punches.

The sad truth is that unless we waited another year, everything is going to seem that way.
The big sweeping changes are more than likely far,far off.
