A mining gamemode, because lets face it. You pubbers will never fit in in a competitive enviroment.
And for those pubbers that are feeling extra ballsy, we can have Mining Competitions, 15 minutes, whoever can mine the most minerals wins, and the winners are given an extra soft carebear teddy, while the losers are given a pat on the back.
Just a thought.

I am not trying to stroke my own e-peen here, I got people to do that for me bro, I'm trying to level with the carebears here trying to see the game through their eyes.
All the posts around here about Protostomping, redlining, being bad, it all points towards the addition of a Mining Gamemode.

Now, I was thinking of how we were going to place this challenging gamemode into our fragile community without scaring them off, and all of a sudden it came to me, I was soaking myself in my ISK, and I thought to myself "Mining Aim Assist".
It ensures that even if you're pointing in the completely different direction, that you'd still hit the target, and if you miss, the beam will bend to its target.
I think that will stop Mining from being too challenging for the pubbers.

I think Dust would benefit greatly from a game mode where ground troops would fight to retrieve minerals at the request of EVE miners, but not for those obviously silly reasons.
I believe it could work so some set amount of minerals would remain stranded on the ground and pilots would have the option of starting a salvage game mode on a ground district. There would a train loaded with an uneven number of wagons containing minerals. This train had become stranded in the middle of the map. Each end of the train has a control panel to make it move. Teams need to reach it and make it move back to a cargo bay. There, the team will have RDVs come in and take wagons away.
Think of it as a sort of CTF game mode, where wagons are the flags. Each wagon represents an amount of minerals that would be transfered to the contracting pilot's ship. The pilot needs to pay a fee to start a mining contract and at the end of battle ground troops would earn a percentage of this money.
