Only did to lvl 3. Wtf are you peoole crying about. The rail rifle is sooo not op. How can you nerf that? I used the sb and couldnt drop shyt with it.

No doubt, huh? I put 4 points into RR with my main. Yes, I now have the ultra delicious Assault RR, but get way more kills with a CR.
Maybe when I get RR operation maxxed out and start putting points into RR prof I'll see a difference, but I like to hip fire.
I put 1 point into RR for my heavy to counter RR users who could kill me when I used a HMG for a 50m engagement.
I now have a sentinel fitting with a RR that I don't use because I can't hit the broadside of a barn with that damn basic RR. I did better at range with a mlt SMg. WTF man?

I have lvl 1 in rr and have no problem killing with it. You probably just suck. As for a nerf, even getting killed by them CONSTANTLY, I hope its only a small nerf in damage if any but a hipfire dispersion added. In fa ct all rifles should not be accurate firing from the hip. Anyone who shoots irl knows you cant hipfire accurately and if you fire a full auto assault rifle it jumps around like crazy on the hip.

RR is definitely the popular choice but the ppl that top the leaderboard are using blaster tanks, scrambler rifles or combat rifles...

ive been against nerfing the rr from day 1. It doesnt deserve it. Neither do the guys who spec'd into it and used it. Its barely better than the ar. Give the ar a scope (especially the breach) and more range and the rr collects dust next to the scramblers.

Rail Rifle is okay. Combat rifle is better is better by and far.
RR is just easy to spec into for little SP and decent performance, thusly RR spam. |

o.0, Pubstar is a demeaning term. It means you're only good vs bad players.
And the RR's DPS is insane for the range it has. I think the weapons OP because of how it's an all-around replacement for any AR. The CR only gets used because it's strong vs armor - and everyones armor tanking. The RR has way too much range for how effective it is CQC. If my HMG can't shoot past how far I can throw a rock then this weapon makes no damn sense.
Either way - I doubt you have to worry about a nerf hammer. Or maybe you do considering this is CCP...

Yea I am going to go ahead and disagree. I don't have a great gun game as they say, but even with one level in RR I can do much better, simply because range is never an issue. There's a point where my CR just tickles no so for the RR.

On my support logi I go 20+ per match for the most, and still pull my own orbi healing. Its easy mode.

I use a STD level RR on my tanker alt who's only non-vehicle SP is in that lvl 1 RR operation skill. He doesn't have a drop dropping anything.
That's not to say that it is or isn't OP, just that you should indeed be able to drop shyt with it.
Now is the winter of our non-content.

People that usually QQ on here are Combat Rifle users. They don't want it nerfed, so they rather QQ about the other new gun.

RR and CR aren't massively, wildy OP in my book.
What I think is bullshit is that they have very close to AR DPS but up to +70% range. That isn't balanced. They both need a slight DPS nerf so that the Gallente AR has a reason to exist, and then I think we're mostly fine on the infantry front.

Regarding the RR, the standard and advanced versions are reasonably balanced from my experiences both using and being shot at by them. The assault is nasty but youngish it was a CR instead sometimes.
It's the proto that gets me. Damnable Kala RR has miles of effective range, pin point accuracy and hits like a sack of bricks. They are squad stompers pure and simple.

Tanks and CR I can agree with, but I don't see all that many people using ScR, never have. This leads me to believe that it's effective in the hands of people who are good with it.
CR does require more player skill than RR, though, which is probably why fewer people use it

I have maxed (full proficiency, full op) on my RR, and I use my basic CR much more frequently, and get better results with it.

Yes, they have a stacking penalty.
They have always had a stacking penalty. It's been experimentally verified numerous times.

I think its funny that people think that the RR is OP. Its a decent weapon that is capable of doing some sick damage in the right guys hands, but the same can be said for the SR and CR. Imo, the CR is the most broken weapon in the game.
