RDV AI could be tuned a bit though
EDIT http://dust514.wikia.com/wiki/Vehicles Actually their human pilots, hence theres a cockpit and a windshield. I believe CCP also had some sort of concept art blatantly showing an RDV pilot, although I wouldn't blame you for not trusting concept art. BUT THAT WINDSHIELD THO EDIT: Yes I read the wiki and I dare say the wiki is wrong. what art of REMOTE DEPLOYMENT VEHICLE dont you understand it is rebotics m8 hence the "remote"
RDV stands for Rapid Deployment Vehicle, granted I think it should be called "Rapid Deployment Vehicle?"

Alright... well since this topic has received sssoo much attention I shall now proceed to tell you all the things that are wrong with this idea and why is should never happen in any game
1) Hynox is stupid and often blurts out things that usually make no sense and should be completely ignored.
2) RDV are more than likely manned by some sort of android robot that is incapable of making its own decisions therefore it should not be to blame when something goes wrong but whomever directed the robot to do what it did should be held accountable for what happens. This is not only because the player is fully aware of what the RDV will most likely do but also is fully aware of the possibilities of calling anything down in a war location.
3) There should always be some sort of punishment when the PLAYER does something wrong (I say player in caps because it is not the RDV that makes the choices it is the player) if there was no punishment for such things punishing for other things like say jumping into lave would be questioned and that would be unacceptable. I believe that dust is not only a rewarding game but it is a game that defines its successes only by the magnitude of its punishments(i.e.an economy, factional warfare, planetary conquest. )
Well I believe I have made my point clear and I hope Hynox stops making his random stupid ideas public for the world to ravished and dwell upon.
P.S I have some more points to make on this subject if anyone was not convinced by these three.
I am most definitely, maybe, probably, possibly, PERHAPS Zingy...

Hynox Xitio wrote:Now for some reason every time I say this, people think I'm insane and say I lack a basic understanding of property laws, but if an RDV pilot gets your vehicle or himself destroyed BEFORE you have control over your vehicle, shouldn't he be the one who has to pay for it? I mean, if you ordered something online, and the truck delivering it to you crashes on the way there, why the **** would they make you pay for the item you ordered because it got destroyed while out of your control. The deliveryman would obviously be the one who paid for it, or at least the company he works for. Every time I tell someone this on Dust they think i am ******* crazy. Am I insane for not wanting to pay for something that was destroyed prior to me having physical ownership of it?
Also if RDV pilots get destroyed because they were called into a heated warzone, then they should just say "lolno, too dangerous." and if you insist, THEN they can charge you for endangering their pilots.
Make sure to tell me I'm crazy and have no understanding of property and delivery laws.
you should have to pay delivery and insurance.
Who wants some?
