My personal idea for a Caldari bonus would be to first balance the RR by increasing the spool time, then giving the Cal Ass' a bonus to spool time.
It is after all the major characteristic of the weapon.
As for the Gal I've never run shotty so I cant help there. Also seems really unfair to add nothing whatsoever for the PC so perhaps giving it something like +2/3 to mag size at proto level(?)

Are you ********? Decreased dispersion on a shotgun is not only increased range, but increased damage as well. What do you normally use shotguns for? As for the Gallente, they're the assault race. Doesn't it make sense to give them the RoF bonus? Plus, this bonus actually helps every weapon, not just specific ones. |

Why put shield bonuses on an armor build? Why should an assault character be forced into a shield skill? It really makes no sense. Main build it's useful for Is Cal Assault.

Exactly my point, the other reply said what if he wanted to armor tank a caldari assault suit and disliked the current shield regen bonuses of the current suit and I was pointing out that the suit is designed primarily as a shield tanker and therefore although armor tanking it is his choice it shouldn;t mean that a shield regen bonus should be removed because it doesn't fit his playstyle
The shiled regen bonus would only be applied to the cal assault and that is what this thread is about .. I have no issue with the general assault bonus of light weapon cpu reduction but the racial bonus for caldari would be good if it remained as some kind of shield regen bonus as it fits it's intended playstyle |

Your Caldari bonus only helps out one weapon. If all Caldari weaponry had a spool up time, then it would make sense. What are the weaknesses of Caldari weapons? Yeah I originally wanted an ROF bonus for the cal assault but as usual the Amarrians disliked it ...
2% ROF bonus per level for the cal assault would be awesome .. benefits SL/SR/RR etc etc and actually helps the cal assault at assaulting .. the reload bonus is useless seeing as all caldari weapons have a reload bonus skill on the weapon already .. we need a bonus no one else can get via skilling into a weapon |

Believe it or not.. That Reload speed on the tactical sniper riffle is going to be sweet. As long as we keep the 30 hp/sec shield recharge I won't complain at all.
Forge Changes needed Officer Splash 3.0, Proto 2.7 Advanced 2.5 Standard 2.1.

You are correct in that it does not increase range or damage.
However when you decrease dispersion on a shotgun, more pellets are hitting at longer ranges, so in a sense you gain range effectiveness but damage drop off and all that still occurs of course but at least more pellets are hitting.
I don't see where he's getting increased damage though.....
