Has it been changed from the proposed garbage reload bonus yet ?
Yes I hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it, HATE IT !!!!
So I can reload an RR 25% faster .. WOOP DEE ******* DOO .. why would I waste 2.6m SP for that ?
I very rarely take part in an engagement long enough to need to reload in battle, even v multiple enemies I pop behind cover and reload in next to no time .. I shield Tank .. shields take time to come back anyway .. I reload whilst shields are recharging plus an assault suit has a side arm .. if your main weapon runs out of ammo switch to sidearm .. reload bonus would make sense on a logi suit that only has 1 weapon they have no other option than to wait but on an assault suit ? Thats flipping pointless ... plus most light weapons have a reload skill anyway

Caldari Assault
-Shield Tank -Hit and Run
Pop out from cover kill a few people .. get noticed, get shot at , go back behind cover/retreat to a different location .. reload whilst I wait for shields to regen and then repeat .. even when I had no sp invested in the reload skill my shields still took longer to regen than it took for me to reload .. its a completely useless bonus.
Unlike most people I don't dual Tank or armor tank for max eHP so I don't stand around in the open engaging multiple enemies strafing around reloading .. its all done behind cover and if for some reason I run out of clip ammo .. I switch to my sidearm ..
I can invest alot less SP and get a 25% faster reload just from the RR reload skill .. just like everyone else .. 2.6m is way too much for such a minor bonus ..
Anyone with experience in using the Cal Assault will tell you the current bonuses to shield recharge rate and shield extenders is way better than this reload bonus
Hers some info
Current Cal assault max lvl + max lvl regulators requires 2 complex shield regulators to get the shield recharge delay down to 2.09 seconds, when you take into consideration it then takes a further 2/3 seconds to recharge 400 shields that gives you over 5 seconds to wait .. even with no sp in the RR reload skill it takes less than 5 seconds ...
Taking away the current extender and recharge rate bonus will increase the time it takes for shields to regen to full .. what use is reloading faster if it takes even longer to regen than before ?? Reload speed isn't an issue in the current build and its going to be even less of an issue if these proposed changes take effect !!

Hip Fire the weapon and it'll be pretty obvious, I can assure you after using it for 3 months even if you keep the aim perfectly straight the bullets come out at different angles and don't all go in the same place .. that is dispersion .. |

Caldari aren't intended to be armor tanked .. sure you can change it into an armor tank but its bonuses should stick towards its racial playstyle
You can shield tank a Gal assault but you wouldn't give it a shield bonus just because some people use it in a certain way |

You dont get recoil til after the 10th shot has been fired consecutively yet you'll notice the bullets come out at different places even when you hold your aim perfectly still .. as I said that is dispersion |

Why should an assault character be forced into a shield skill? It really makes no sense. Main build it's useful for Is Cal Assault.
Exactly my point, the other reply said what if he wanted to armor tank a caldari assault suit and disliked the current shield regen bonuses of the current suit and I was pointing out that the suit is designed primarily as a shield tanker and therefore although armor tanking it is his choice it shouldn;t mean that a shield regen bonus should be removed because it doesn't fit his playstyle
The shiled regen bonus would only be applied to the cal assault and that is what this thread is about .. I have no issue with the general assault bonus of light weapon cpu reduction but the racial bonus for caldari would be good if it remained as some kind of shield regen bonus as it fits it's intended playstyle |

As for the Gal I've never run shotty so I cant help there. Also seems really unfair to add nothing whatsoever for the PC so perhaps giving it something like +2/3 to mag size at proto level(?) Your Caldari bonus only helps out one weapon. If all Caldari weaponry had a spool up time, then it would make sense. What are the weaknesses of Caldari weapons? As for the Gallente, they're the assault race. Doesn't it make sense to give them the RoF bonus? Plus, this bonus actually helps every weapon, not just specific ones.
Yeah I originally wanted an ROF bonus for the cal assault but as usual the Amarrians disliked it ...
2% ROF bonus per level for the cal assault would be awesome .. benefits SL/SR/RR etc etc and actually helps the cal assault at assaulting .. the reload bonus is useless seeing as all caldari weapons have a reload bonus skill on the weapon already .. we need a bonus no one else can get via skilling into a weapon |
