I've been saying for awhile that spawn on point shouldn't exist. You either capture a CRU nearby objectives or place uplinks nearby objectives. Basically like Domination, but in Skirmish. If you can't defend those secondary objectives then prepare to lose your primary objective.

And even if CCP wishes to keep this feature, which they shouldn't, they should at least reconsider where spawn-on-point actually spawns you. In some cases like the hack terminal on the high platform on the Gallente Research Facility it literally spawns you within reaching distance of the hack terminal and facing it. That is way too damn close.

Same thing happens when hacking objectives - get the hack off - 1...2...3... someone spawns - me - OMFGWTFBBQ.
Now when I attempt to spawn on a link that has been destroyed...nope can't spawn there, uplink lost.
This game is seriously gonna cause me to have a stroke one day. It's actually because you are invisible for about 3 seconds after you spawn. So you through a flux grenade, someone spawns in, flux grenade goes off and destroys uplink, and three seconds later the guy who spawned before the uplink was destroyed becomes visible.
You can do this too. When you spawn in simply don't move (well you can spin in place, but that's it). No one will be able to see you.

If this is what the cloak in 1.8 is going to be like maximum T_T is inbound. I highly doubt it as you're thinking. Actually a few days ago I was playing a match and I actually stumbled upon someone moving out of his spawn point but for a split second he was still cloaked, however not completely invisible. You could see his body outline along the visual distortion. Man I wish I could of recorded that, it was very weird. That's my guess for what it's going to be.
