Was about to apologized when you posted in my thread OP dude but here goes an Amarrian attempt at an apology.....
Look, I've been using the SCR literally since downtime was over 5/14/13. I've become proficient with it. Never have I used a modded controller, and actually just learned of their existence a few months ago. It just really pisses me off to see "nerf the SCR" thread number 39484755489349 because IMO you're or whomever posted it is complaining because it "kills too fast." It has a charged shot feature, and those of us who are proficient with it of course will kill people quickly with it.
Hey in the end it was not right for me to tell you to go die though so I do apologize.
You can also find the apology in my thread as well
P.S. - don't go off killing yourself - that's bad stuff, but if you do, that's totally not on me, means you had some past demons or something *shudders*
*hug* :)
I could list the ways how we Amarr are better than you, but your lesser mind wouldn't comprehend it.

Anyways, a RoF cap might be for the better. I agree with OP.
If you really want OP though, head to the assault aile. Every section from CR to RR to ScR is there. AR is at discount price.
No it doesn't, don't be ridiculous. I use the CR more than the ScR despite the very important facts that I have a Templar ScR BPO and am a dedicated Amarr loyalist. Why?
Well, the most important reason is the crazy low fit costs. But it's also clearly a much easier weapon to use and I don't have Aisha or Arkenas gun game. Since it fires a burst it's more forgiving because some of your shots may still hit if your aim is off. It also doesn't overheat so I can empty out the entire clip at will without it seizing up on me and doing damage.
(P.s, I feel less dirty knowing True uses the CR, that's the most important thing I take from this thread, lol)

I use it/ used it post 1.8 it quickly got boring and admittedly too easy to have massive kill games......but I have less gun game than you all.... I drive an HAV...so I need all the DAKKA skill compensation I can get.

Reduce ROF to 480.
Think that's slow? Get a metronome (there's free apps for it online) and put in a tempo of 120 with 16th notes. It's quite fast.

while doing 677.664 DPS to armor 1016.5 DPS to shields.
if you didnt have a turbo to reach that, say you were firing at 550 instead 700(which is easily achievable with just a controller)
That requires you hitting the button at 9 times per second. That's not actually that realistic to achieve consistently. Quote: Basic Scr DPS= 660 528 DPS to armor 792 DPS to shileds
if it was as slow as 400RPM max(as fast as a breach AR and Tac ar fires now)
BasicSCr dps = 480 384 DPS to armor 576 DPS to shields
I don't think the first number is unreasonable given that the weapon overheats rather than keeps firing. It gets a decent DPS advantage having traded that off. If it fires slower, you'll accumulate less heat... Right? No. Theres a glitch where you get a few more shots off if you fire really fast. I've tested it a lot and it always happens.
Also-yes the ScR is currently OP...but only with damage mods and proficiencies, since damage mods are likely to get nerfed in 1.8 & proficiencies will probably be changed sometime as well, the ScR should be taken from OP status whether a nerf is thrown at it or not.

You can't fire more than 15 shots without overheating, unless you're pacing the trigger pulls...
ED: You addressed this in your OP, I guess. How is the heat build-up bypassed? Sounds like an exploit.
There is an ScR overheat exploit unless it has been fixed, I don't remember how it works (nor would I post it if I did) but I was shown it and it basically removes the overheat.
Edit: fixed grammar and redundancy

Anyway can this thread be over now, shouldn't we all be complaining about Tanks and Rail Rifles and anything else that graces the killfeed in-between. |

i ran into a guy using a modded controller today with one- couldn't hear the individual shots on it, it just fired fast beyond belief. I killed him 5 times, he killed me once. I think the overheat needs to be a lot more punishing and based on shots fired rather than time firing, as well as making the RoF something like 400. (same as CR, however, with the ScR every click counts as a shot, with the CR you have to time the shots, and it is more difficult to get to 400 RPM)

It's threads like these that really tick me off. People like you don't even realize what we scramblers sacrifice when using these weapons to help carry the teams.
Does anyone remember when The FOTM cal logis were running around with over 600 shields and proto rifles? Anyone remember how many people complained about that? Anyone notice that the scrambler rifle was the go to weapon to deal with that crap?
Here's a few tips in case you don't know on how to deal with us.
1) don't wear militia suits, I swear over half of you are complaining about this because your gear is subpar.
2) Learn how to strafe. So many of you guys are sitting still practically begging for our charge shots to peg you in the head. And you're sitting there wondering what happened, here's what happened. you gave us the time we needed to smack you down with a charge shot.
3) Do not wear rail rifles with heavy suits. I'm so sick of seeing people who wear this and think it takes skill to do it, that I have gotten to the point of specifically hunting for you guys just to teach you a lesson. Besides, much like the old days of Cal logi spam, after dealing with a heavy, even our blessed suits cannot handle the heat build up, thus we cannot go on taking on another opponent, leaving us defenseless so you people wouldn't have to deal with another tryhard.
4 Unless you're an absolute beast, the amarr assault is the only viable fit for the SCR. Learn to notice us.
There are other secret tips on how to deal with us, but to be frank, I don't want to rob my brethren of any more tears or kills.

Look guys my problem with the scrambler is that in terms of burst dps (Because that's where it is king) it out shines the shotgun in CQC. That is an issue I feel. (Lets be honest right now a lot of weapons outshine the shotgun in CQC and all have much better range....)
However like someone else said, things are getting tweaks in 1.8 so lets see how that pans out. I would be worried that a RoF nerf as low as the TAC would cripple the weapon and that's bad. However I do think it is feasible to discuss a small RoF reduction (Depending on what happens in 1.8)

SCRAMBLER FOR LIFE!! I told that before, rifles are fine. Just really minor tinking needed, no more nerfs. I can at least agree with this. It is true that all rifles TTK is way too high, but that's for all of them. Even CCP has said 1.8 they're going to lower the TTk of all rifles.
I think the game would be a little more balanced with this Rail Rifle 15%(It's not that OP as people are making it out to be) Scrambler 10% Combat Rifle 10% Assault Rifle 5% (This thing currently sucks right now.)

Just because some people have a quick trigger finger doesn't mean they cheat. Besides, even if people used turbo controllers, you would see them suicide on the kill feed constantly or at least debilatated. Squad with me sometime and I'll make you a believer.
Also, maybe the reason you die so quickly is well placed volley shots to the head. Did you even consider that? I always aim high.
