Well, off hand: 2,150,000 Lifetime WP 34,500,000 Lifetime SP 2.47 Lifetime KDR
Gives me a .15393
Note, these are estimations, slightly more WP and SP, and my KD is rounded by the Man (AKA CCP).
I'm an adequate player I suppose. I can hold my own, but I've been running in smaller squads for the majority of my time (usually 3, now mainly 2) and attempt to use as little Proto as possible, even with me having a decent store house of stuff.
Been getting stomped nicely by 9+ Red Star fighting for the Amarr in FW. Also fly dropships, so, that's helped bolster my KD since 1.6 hit and I had the points.
xSivartx is my Heavy. There are many like him, but he is my own...

that's kind of why the kdr is a multiplier of a very small number. KDR doesn't count for nothing, just in that kills are lucrative on the warpoint front. |

Actually by multiplying, you're making KDR supremely important, especially considering that KDR varies from near zero to something over 1, making the curve mostly dependent on KDR. So, while WP/SP is unlikely to ever go much over 1, KDR varies by orders of magnitude.

So, while WP/SP is unlikely to ever go over 1, KDR varies by orders of magnitude. Besides that, you'd be better off leaving KDR out altogether considering it really is meaningless. Now, of course you really just have a measure of how often someone plays. So, you're equation breaks down to: time density of play * meaningless coefficient. This is why I suggest actually teaming up with someone to evaluate how good they are.
I wasn't trying to offend you by using the kdr. i'm not sure it's something you need to be overly concerned about. the kdr statistic in dust 514 is broken, as it doesn't represent kills, just casualties. that still doesn't make it unimportant in a first person shooter. this equation specifically renders a number that is basically (grind * KDR) if the amount you grind dust 514 is represented by your warpoints divided by your skillpoints. it does not represent the 'quality' of the player in any way. only how dedicated a player has been to dust 514 since they started their character. if you took a month off, your number went down. simple as that.
i'll agree that the equation would probably be a better indication of 'quality' if you add one to your kdr. if your kdr is below 1, then the equation is harsh, but it only means that second decimal is where the spread from low to high starts.
within this equation if your number is below 0.02 then you're probably very inactive, or very bad at video games. if your number is above 0.4 you're probably one of those guys who throws up 40 kill games on the regular. |

You haven't offended me. KDR is not a measure of anything really. It only helps if you happen to play a very specific role, and even then, it can vary greatly depending on how you're filling out your squad. This is what makes it meaningless.
If you want a variable to represent grind, this is WP as I mention in my (edited) post. Sorry, I probably edited it while you were posting, but dividing WP by SP makes no sense. Do you somehow lose excellence as you gain more SP or go on vacation? What WP/SP represents is not how much you've played, but how often you play. That's a pretty big distinction, and I would contend there are many good players that play less often than bad ones, so dividing by SP makes no sense.
Do what you want, of course, but the equation has nothing to do with player quality.
