-Im tired of being the only one to equip uplinks in a domination match
-Im Tired of people running at full sprint away from me when Im tring to rep them and they have like 1 armor hp left (yeah thanks for you plans to nerf rep tools rep range in 1.8 CCP)
-Im tired of not having a sidearm even tho I have SMG lvl 5 and Prof 3
-Im tired of Team mates b*tching me out if I revive them and an unforseen sniper takes them out, then B*tching next match that I didnt revive them even tho a entire enemy squad was right on top of their body.
-im tired of having to kill tanks on objectives with flux / Remotes combo while all my team mates hide and whine about their swarms being nerfed.
-Im tired of having a minmatar Logi which is suposed to be kinda quick but havign to brick tank it with armor so I dont get ista killed by stray bullets.
-And Im REALLY tired of people yellign "where is my logi suposrt!?" when I am obviously doing all the things above, and they decide to run off and be Leroy
Even tho I have advocated aginst respecs in the past, im all for them now because Im skilling into a caldari sentinal+comando and running solo, and when we get redlined because no one broguht uplinks ill chill in the MCC and drink a nice cup of tea.

I feel your pain bro! If I'm with a squad that doesn't need/ want/ complains about my support I go do my own thing. Its not very often. I don't do it for the wp I so it because that's what we need to win. If you ever complain about me picking you up that's fine you get no support from me. If ppl don't appreciate you find a different team we are always looking for a good logi!

Lol I did that once, I was in a typical domination match where only I in the ENTIRE team was running uplinks, I sugested some people in squad switch to uplink suits and keep us in the game because they where scanning down and killing my uplinks as fast as I could place them. They all said naw they take to much fitting and they would rather have their scaners and nano hives. Next tiem I died I didnt spawn back in, just waited.... 1 min later we where out of uplinks and 2 min after that we where pushed out of the objective and never made a comeback. |

I made this point on another logi 1.8 related discussion. Someone said the logi community wanted these changes. To me it seems the community wanted to end logi slayers and are sick of seeing logi's in first place while going 4-8.
I currently run a adv uplink, adv nanite, and advanced ammo re-supply logi and there are players who actually see 1.8 as being a good update for logis because "we" get racial bonuses to nerf'ed equipment. I will not be able to run this effectively and therefore will change classes to scout.
It is ridiculous to expect scanning logis not to see caldari scout suit as a step up, it is ridiculous to have logos be pinned holed into a single equipment specialty when our other equipment slots will be nerf'd. Sure, if you want to run three nano hives or 3 drop links the racial bonuses and racial specific equipment bonus are nice but very few are running this set up.
If you're not a 20m+ SP logi running Proto suit + Proto equipment these 1.8 changes are going to seriously hurt you. It's going to be switching classes because i cant afford to run these elite fittings.
In 1.8 many classes see a significant and dramatic boost. Scouts get nice new cloaks, tanks get excellent resistance and even assault suits are getting nice bonuses and better racial boosts. The answer to killing the slayer logi shouldn't be to make every other class more appealing!!!!
If you want to kill the slayer logi, its easy. You make the equipment slots locked. This slot can only be a repair tool or this slot has to be a hive. The CPU/PG forces slayer logi's out and true logi's get to shine and demonstrate their ability to effectively use more than one racial-based equipment. What is the point of picking certain logi races for getting a bonus to drop link times when nerf'ing repair ranges and hive re-supply or repair armor are a bigger priority.
Only those who are elite won't be hurt, the other guys are going to have to switch classes or suffer. It'll prevent up and comers from going logi and force those who run advanced equipment of 3-4 types to suffer. Logis are suppose to be adaptive and supportive not pin holed into one type.

There is actually a shortage of dedicated logibros. Most of them would rather be slayers. So sadly finding a good dedicated logi is always difficult.
Play with better people. If you're getting yelled at for not needling or repping then you're playing with idiots. I won't put on my dedicated logi fit unless I'm with people I trust.
The logi drought is only going to get worse in 1.8 because a dedicated logibro will have to be more dedicated than ever before. Having to make a racial choice in order to be an effective repper. (Minmatar for life!)
So if your tired of being a logibro I would suggest taking a break from it, or go to a different corp. Some places respect dedicated logibros.
We can pickle that.

CCP removed that because some guys whined that they cannot see so good with the effect.

My alliance and corp mates don't treat me like that...usually, but in general that is how the Dust community treats logibros so yeah I'm tired of it. I never play my main unless my corp needs me to or I cap out my assault/scout alt. I am praying for a respec so I can get out of one of my racial logi skills and into some slayer suit. Let those that talk so much sh!t on the forums skill into logi if they think its all just easy WP.
Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

When Chromosome launched I decided to be a logibro. I specced into Gallogi because the CPU/PG bonus meant I could equip more better quality gear. I maxed EVERY skill in dropsuit core upgrades and have spent the last 18 months restocking, reviving, healing and deploying.
I've kinda grown bored of it though. I thought I'd always be a logi but I just can't stand being so ******* slow and cumbersome now. Also with the equipment nerf of 1.8, I won't be looking back on GREY CARDINAL (my main). I will however eventually spec into Minlogi on my Matari pride and joy after I've fully specced my hacking Minja.

1) squad up with some scouts and you will never have to equip uplinks ever again.
2) Currently there is no indicator for being repped so it's possible that they just don't notice your repping them.
3) Then just use your SMG? The added space should make it easier to fit other things.
4) Can't help you on that one. Some players are just asses.
5) Once again, squad up with some scouts lol.

This is one of few times were a respec would be a good idea (I don't need one but the majority of the community does) and so I am all for it.

hell most if not all logis are slayers idk how many matches ive ever gone into where my squad was the only one carrying uplinks but eh it is what it is i find being dedicated to one role is far easier than branching off into to many things me i love my RE n tanks hate me for it. i feel u though but allot of people love to armor stack their logis cause of armor rep bonus n low slots making caldari logis rare since they cant be used as slayers as much since nerf so ccp removing rep bonus might be a good thing |

You'd be surprised how often a Heavy (or whoever I am actively repping for that matter) will just run off blindly and die all with me repping them. While they are owning reddots because I am keeping them actively repped, I apparently don't exist. After they've ran out of range and get cut down and they're like "IDK what happened, I was doing so good". Something else I absolutely love is when they're so ******* busy searching for reddots to chase after that they totally miss the ones who have flanked us and are killing me.
Armorwalker is such a thankless job.

I specd my main into minlogi because I'm a horrible shot but still wanted to help the team. All mlt hives and uplinks. What a waste. Afterwards I found I could get the same thing done for less ISK with a mm mlt light thats more maneuverable and way more fun to play. I have nevr used reppers cause after watching the logibro eat it 10 times one match I was like, "Yeah, I'm all set on that"

When I am solo or in a squad of people I don't know I usually focus on slaying and keep any logistics to when people ask for it. Except for uplinks that is, I always run those at the beginning of every match and bank the WP for the rest of the match on them. Especially in a hard fought domination, 2k WP easy and up to 3-4k if I am with my usual squad mates.
Me and my heavy buddy I play with have come to an understanding. While it sucks you are without logi support in the start of the game, my uplinks are more important because they benefit the whole team.
Next I will do my best to keep you alive, including revives if possible, but in return you (the heavy) need to not get blinders on and think yourself invulnerable because then you get us both killed.
Seriously though, just because you are getting repped doesn't mean you can't die. Taking on 3 other people, one of whom is also a heavy, won't work! Then I die too :/ |

I find you uplink logis disgusting. I spend time finding the perfect place to put down an uplink just to have one of you idiots charge through the area throwing them in every random direction so it's not even possible to figure out where my safe one is.

It does appear at times that we are man wh****, and unfortunately it is only going to get worse.There are sqaud mates who truly appreciate us and with the heavy additions we are going to be needed even more, so all of us support logis are going to have to take a bite of the sh## sandwich (again) we will prevail because our teams need us., and if they continue then consider moving on, we do this to have fun not to get our balls broken by people who forgot what this is about. |

To be honest, i enjoy it. I love the fact i can help my team mates get big scores whilst being nicely rewarded in WP's. However, it does frustrate me that nanohives and scanners are rarely used by anyone else on my team. It would be nice for someone else just to put on a scanner whilst im up the ass of 2 heavys for an entire game trying to keep them ammo filled, repped, and back on their feet if they go down.
Its hard graft at times, but you definitely have those games where you know you made the difference for your team.

Yea, if we get an SP refund, I may give up on Logis in the short-term. I have a heck of a time for a few of your reasons and a couple of my own. I'm not sure whether the Caldari Sentinel will be a good idea because my feeling is that it will be initially OP, then will eventually be nerffed.

I will be getting more dedicated to Logistics when 1.8 drops. I figure with the new heavy builds a dedicated repper will be much appreciated. Then again I already know who those heavies are.
If I were smart I'd be stock piling Repulic Core Focus rep tools, but I'm not. So I'll be riding around in my Rail Jeep with a Forge Gun, hunting tanks.

I kinda like being the only person placing uplinks in a domination, especially if I'm playing with someone who can fly a dropship. It typically means I'll be near the top of the leaderboard without firing a shot, and with my proto uplinks I don't have to spend all my time placing the things.
Links - The uplink nerf is going to do very good things for how matches play out. Right now the only real reason to use the proto uplinks, most of the time, is the higher spawn count. When I die and go to the map by the time I'm able to select a spawn point every uplink says 3 seconds (even the STD level ones). Spawn times overall need to be higher for that difference to be a factor more than occasionally. It'll also stop squads from using the clown car defense, where they fill up an area with links and then smother an attacking squad with cloned bodies. An amarr logi with proto links will be able to place useful forward spawns like that, but that's just one person...not every dude on the team throwing down an R-9 or better within 20 meters of the objective. That means it'll still be easier to secure the area while making the play style of the Amarr logi distinct. Overall this one nerf will improve the flow of the battle.
Hives - I'm hoping that with the fitting cost reduction logis get it means that non-logis will have to make real sacrifices to run higher than standard level hives / links. That means even if you're in a non-Caldari logi you'll still be better for placing hives than most people. The Caldari bonus will be nice on repping hives.
Rep tools - The one nerf I think was a bad idea, though if TTK is slowed down enough it might be fine. As it stands they don't repair nearly fast enough. They're so underused right now because of how weak they are overall. The only time they make a real difference is if someone gets revived by a low level injector. The only time I actually use my rep tools during a fight is when I'm heavy-humping in a corridor. |

Please don't lump us together with spammers, they are in every fitting and a experienced support logi will not waste spamming any equipment. A: nanohives and scanners can esily be fit on any assult suit and suplly depo equipment spam means there is usualy plenty of normal and reppng hives laying about, yet their own switched to a slayer suit right after droping them so hes not even a real logibro.
B: nanite injecters need to have higher fitting and not have a malita variant, to stop people fitting them just for extra points, noob revives in firefight ruin the good name of all compotent logibros everywhere.
C: and ofcourse slayer logis running by people in need because they have no reps, and or injecters make people think most logis are only out for themselves.

I am still kind of new to the game and after trying different suits, weapons etc. I found a love for the logi!!! My only complaint so far is "THAT GUY" who believes he should be repped before all others! and stands in front of me hitting me while I am trying to get someone else healed. At that point I wish I could heel kick them off the side of a building LOL!! I always try to rep my squad first :-/ some may not like it but its the way I choose to run my logi.

Yeah I know I'm tired of being a gallente logi, sure getting the SP back from my dropsuit skill is nice, but I'll still have all the SP I spent on equipment basically being wasted because I want to switch my DS from logi to sentinel. Gee thanks CCP for letting me switch from logi to something else, but not letting me make use of the SP I used in order to become a good logi. |
