The ratio of people with mics to people with no mics is rather large. Out of the 3500-4000 people that play daily (thanks N1ck), I think about 500-750 have mics. Most times when I'm not in a squad, most of the battles I play have only one person with a mic..and that's me. I know that you don't actually NEED a mic to win battles, but it's a huge advantage on the battlefield, like scanners. Having a mic is like having a audio scanner. You can tell others where the enemies are coming and/or headed and others will come and help instead of sitting around waiting for their next kill. Mics costs like $20, so I HIGHLY SUGGEST getting one to improve yourself and your team's/squads play on the battlefield. More Mics= More Advantages. Go out and get those mics!

Dust has an average of 3500-4000 players online.
The number we see is Dust and EVE players combined.

I have a mic but I'm anti social. Which is the reason why I take out the pent up energy on other Mercs face...... With my scr.
But I am pro active when I'm in a squad who Is actually serious and the match is competitive.

most people have mics, but are either sticking to squad chat or their own private channels so that they can talk to all of their friends and corpies rather then random blues that they completly lost faith in 8 months ago |

I started playing in July and within the first few hours, I already had lost faith in them.

I intentionally take my voice out of team chat and don't use my mic in pubs unless i have a squad. I've heard enough people who can't figure out ptt take a **** on mic thanks...

I rarely talk in team chat.
But I have push-to-talk on so I'm not making all the background noise other people do.

i have no interest in teamwork unless it is with the people in my squad..so no i dont mic up when playing alone and i dont play with newer players as they are tedious.
as a logi running with newbs is the worst thing i could do to my character..bad enough i have to tolerate watching the 15 nubs random matchmaking tosses me in with take up space as useless meat shields last thing i want is to hear their nubbishness as well

There are a lot of mics. Any hald decent corp has a mic requirement. Just the community of corp-active players alone is about 40% of the community, and I bet almost every one of those players has a mic.
Totally not Fizzer94's forum alt. Definitely just a random dude.

Often Mute out Team chat, because all I get is are some 10 year olds who are either spazzing out on colorful adjectives or mumbling irritating mumbo jumbo they drown out other vet players trying to pass info from the field.
Tell them to silence their mics and they throw a tantrum.
