CCP has said that it will be difficult for anyone other than scouts to equip cloaks. I'm curious to see how they make that work, unless it's just a flat "This suit cannot equip this equipment".

If a logi would sacrifice one equipment, they should easily be able to equip a cloak device....hell, even assault suits would be able to equip that thing!

Yeah, But when they uncloak, they'll be just as squishy as now.
They won't be able to shot while cloaked too, so they are probably going to be balanced for scouts.

Can take over a thousand damage and likely FOTM weapon.
The Mass Driver buff itself will likely kill off most of the scouts pretty fast.

180 CPU to equip a standard cloak that's how and that's why all scouts get 75% CPU/PG reduction to cloaking devices with level 5. So not only is the cloak just for scouts its for high SP investment scouts

Why does something have to be fotm? Why can't someone spec into something because they enjoy it?
For instance. Once uprising came I said to myself ok, I'm going to spec into something and that weapon will be MY weapon. So I tried the scr and I loved it. I didn't spec into anything else. All through the days of AR514 I stuck with my guns and pushed through to 1.7 I said alright let's try a new weapon axis. So I did any Minnie mynie MO and picked the rr. I enjoyed in so specialized into it. I have not even tried using the cr AT ALL.
What happened to an honest non scrub player who doesn't try to gain advantage to crutch through thier career? As My self.
I'm doing what I enjoy.
Edit: I am speced into MD but that was a thing I had to do for PC. And I kinda use it in pubs for certain maps

thats why I'm hoping theres no respecGǪ..CCP will end up nerfing scouts just because of the massive influx, and then people will realize that commandos and sentinels are the way to go

There doesn't have to be...but there will be.
I have no intention of speccing into the fotm. I'm a Gallente RP-er that will likely roll with Minmatar gear, considering that two of my favorite weapons are the Combat Rifle and Mass Driver and that the Gallente and Minmatar are allies (Btw, do players get a bonus to racial weapons based on their character's race, or the race of their equipped dropsuit? That's never been clear to me).
I just choose to speculate on what it will be. I've played enough MMO's to know that speccing into the FotM is a mistake...because eventually stat weights will change and then it won't be the fotm anymore, and the tears will flow. So I intend to stick with my RP-based SP choices. |

HA! Yea right, I tried the spy class, its absolute garbage
Cloak takes way to long to recharge, cloak delay to fire is terrible, and it gets only a pistol....
