I can't get headshots reliably enough to justify using ScR. Plus I get caught up in the moment and then they overheat. And then my clone dies.
I'll stick with combat rifles.

Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

I hope CCP will prevent Heavy sentinel suits about using light-weapons. OR they receive a nerf.
You want heavy suits and light weapons ? GO play Commandos.
I think having the highest ehp (from far) AND the highest DPS is pretty.... |

I understand that they are probably going to be balanced, but they will still be FotM. Everyone it going to spec into them to give them a try. They are going to be the FotM, regardless of their effectiveness.

Would have agreed with you on the rail rifle but now it's getting a confirmed nerf I'm hesitating to declare it the winner now.
Caldari sentinel in pubs with a scram, perhaps? Amarr sentinel looks beastly, and is virtually bomb proof.
Minnie commando with CR and mass driver could be a real black horse, especially when run in squads. Look out for them post patch day.

Why are you thinking Minmatar Assault with MD? Its still a niche weapon, and it more than likely WON'T have an 11 round drum... Maybe with CR, SMG+Flux, but even the MD buff will still leave it slow firing and with desperately low ammo reserves.

Well, Cal Sentinel gets the bonus protection against Blasters and Lasers, but shields have a natural 10% protection against explosions and projectiles. The only thing that will hit them hard in their sea of EHP is rail tech. |

I'm not even joking. After the Rail and Combat Rifle nerf, and allowing that CCP retains their current values, I think people are gonna (re)discover how much damage the Breach AR can do.
The CreoDron Breach AR is going to be the new go-to weapon for pub stomping. |

Saberwing stated elsewhere that Game Design was strongly considering removing the +1 to clip size from the Assault suit due to the damage increase. Its a forum post that fell into the abyss that even the forum gods never read. But, Saber did confirm that was the direction they were headed via Tweet when I asked him.

Shields are 30% resistant to explosives and 5% to projectiles. Personally I think the AScR or ACR will be the best counter to a Caldari Sentinel as they will be almost immune to explosives (30% shields and 25% suit bonus), 15% resistant to blasters, and 10% resistant to lasers.
My bet is Caldari and Gallente Sentinel and Scouts suits. |

Thanks for the info but 'strongly considering' Gëá definitely will. So minass+MD is still on my FOTM prediction list, albeit with a reduced probability. |
