Seriously guys just think about it. Caldari fighting style is to stay far from it's opponent and cause maximum damage at slow rates of fire. Hence why we have Caldari Railgun, Rail Rifle and our Sniper Rifle is Caldari.
Gallente fighting style is close and personnal. Hence why the Blaster Rifle deals more damage the closer the range, the Gallente Blaster Turret and the Shot Gun is Gallente.
It fits into their play style.
Now why'd you guys want a shot gun and sniper rifle that only deals more damage to either shields or armor while decreasing the damage on the other one is far from me. What happens when you have your Minmatar shotgun and you find a Caldari Heavy? |

I think CCP is trying to put emphasis on the rock, paper, scissor concept. Reason for this is so people will actually have to work more as a team rather than be "super soldiers", besides this IS a teamwork based game.[/quote]
But it wouldn't fit each races fighting style. Why, the Caldari, who specialize in long range combat make a weapon especially designed for CQC?

But it wouldn't fit each races fighting style. Why, the Caldari, who specialize in long range combat make a weapon especially designed for CQC? Just because they specialize in long range combat doesn't mean they're ALWAYS going to stay at that range. I normally don't like conparing a game to real life, but just about every nation out there has their own specialty weapon for the engangments they might encounter. Even the police do the same thing even though officers carry a handgun but when the situation warrants they can bring out higher caliber weapons. Besides even without comparing this game to real life why would you be against having more variety in weapons? Or are you worried that your "I WIN" gun might avtually have a weakness that can be exploited?
I never really said anything about an "I WIN" gun. I was just stating that why would the Caldari need a shotgun? Most like if the Gallente get a Sniper Rifle, that Sniper Rifle will have the shortest range compared to the Caldari. Doesn't make sense. |

The Autobot Rifle - Normal Assault Rifle, effective at all ranges.
The Decepticon Rifle - almost exactly the same as the Autobot Rifle, only a longer range with higher DPS thats offset by a extremely short spool up time.
The Gatling Rifle - Three assault rifles taped together.
The Bazooka Rifle - A Hand held Bazooka that shoots full sized assault rifles, effective as AV.
The Cannon Fodder Rifle - A Heavy Weapon that shoots full sized Assault Rifles that also unload their entire clip while in flight.
Loving them last 2 weapons. Would add more diversity to the game |
