Texas Killionaire wrote:Yeah, we've lost plenty, but we've had some awesome victories. Honestly, if I was a new corp, I wouldn't bother with PC until it's 'fixed'. It's a pain in the ass to snipe a district and it's way expensive to clone pack your way into a district. I mean, I guess you could buy a district but where's the fun in that?
well here's a good question.
Allow me to answer it.
Why buy a district?
Texas is right, it IS a pain in the ass to 'snipe' a district. the odds are also stacked against you when attempting to conquer a district thru several clone pack attacks.
Simple math here. 36 million per clone pack. minimum 2 of those, but realistically a lot more. The odds of winning 2-3 clone pack attacks in succession is minimal, as current landholders have what? ISK.
Mercenaries gone Wild in Molden Heath, as everyone has said, so sure maybe u win 1 to 2 matches then that 2nd or 3rd attack where you're geared to flip the district and BAM.. 15 NF show up, or FA, or AE.
I don't care who you are, you aren't beating ANY of us with a clone pack.
your 120 clones are simply not enough vs the top mercenaries in this game.
Its RARELY enough when we go at each other (like I think maybe once?)
these mercenaries are where they are because they KILL..
our current record is cloning a full hub in 2 matches.. that's an AVERAGE 225 kills per match...
purchase a district, while not cheap, is still cheaper and a guarantee of you having land.
Included is a free class on PC mechanics so you don't go in blind.
Of course you are on your own after than, but clone count is the 'key' to Planetary Conquest.
Just ask rampage who sends 444 clones from a full hub, 11 jumps away to hit a district where 196 land... when he coulda waited another 5 minutes and had a full district next door to the same target go online.
My new sig sometimes makes sense

then by all means inform your leadership to dispense with the double locking exploits and try to leave something online, even for a few minutes.
we leave ours online all the time for extended periods.
Rampage jumps the gun and makes a small deposit in his drawers every time he notices 1 of our online districts, that have been online for hours (the part he doesn't realize)
we lock when we have a match at a certain time, or when we are waiting on clone regen. We don't lock to 'avoid' getting attacked, just ask anyone in AE capable of putting more than 3 syllables together to form a word that can be defined in an English dictionary. they camp their own timers to wait til something goes online to 'snipe' our online districts.
quite amusing and always expected, but KEQ, double locking and more diligent about making sure they DONT get attacked than doing anything else.
remember when u point the finger at somebody, pay attention, cause 3 more are pointed back at you

CUSE TOWN333 wrote:All corps are made different with different plans for where they want to go with there dust life. Zatara has a good eye for talent and has put together a solid corp when no one thought he could. Some new corps rush into PC when there guys are not ready and have to hire ringers for every fight they have which does not teach them anything.
who didn't think he could?
I mean the man has been surrounded by talent for such a long time, regardless your opinions he sure as $h1t knows talent from minmatar scum...
he understands roles, and understands strategy. He may need some work in self-esteem and security, but even that doesn't affect the ability to recognize needs and see talent to fill those needs in assembling a team.
I know this is not an easy thing, but 1 thing I can say with confidence he learned in his time on dust.
so anyone thinking he couldn't put together a 'solid corp' are probably butthurt trolls, members of the rebel shoeshiner union, or STB, who haven't been able to do this in 2 years, much less 2 months lol
