Man all any one talks about is how there are only a few corps in PC. Well you know what suck it up. From the history of dust we can see that during times of war powers change. As well as alliances. AE started on the bottom but they started during a time of conflict, the FEC war. Then outlasted those in power until they left. Then a few months down the road the OH/AE war broke out shortly after a new merc corp made it's first appearance in the PX1/ML skirmishes. FA's goal was not to be the corporation that takes down AE it was formed so that corporations that didn't have a full 16 man A team that could compete with the best this game has to offer could find players that can compete at that level. But now all that PC has turned into is battle between AE. FA. And NF's newly return to PC. 89.9% of every battle for a district turns into another AE vs FA match. Yesterday dystopia killed 24 of our clones out of a 120 clone, clone pack. Then they hire AE and TRE to defend there district. If you wish to be in PC then look at how the people that are in PC got to where they are. It wasn't by starting some **** and saying your the best so I should get a district. It was by being the underdog and working up but if you think PC is just fun and games and making isk. Think again. if you want to be in PC then be in PC. NS and AE only hold 41% of it. There is still a lot to take so snipe a district it's not hard. And before you attack something talk to the leading corps about not ringing against you. But if you use them as ringers then it will just become another FA vs AE match and you will eventually loose your district.
Also think about players you hate seeing on the other side becuse your know your team will most likely lose. Well Guess what this people often ply PC and you will see them. Like today roner going 28/6 in a shotty scout armer stacked and damped. And if you say oh all these players are crap I kill them all the time. They shouldn't be in PC. All I have to say to you is. Where are you ? I would love To see some fresh faces in PC.
I'm done. Time to run some pubs since there's no one hiring for pc's. Maybe AE will hire me. Would be nice to be on the same side as some of those guys again.

If the PC locking thing does get fixed (barring any other 'tactics' being discovered), it'll be nice to see smaller corps start dotting MH.

It would but how many will chance it when down the road they are going to have to fight one of the top corps. And no one wants to so they will just blue up everyone and it's one more corp that doesn't fight

I'm thinking of a famous Frank White quote right now.
We will eventually get there. I would love to jump in PC, just to upgrade my skillsets on the battlefield. It's taking some time to build and such, but that's one of the stops on the list.

Yeah, we've lost plenty, but we've had some awesome victories. Honestly, if I was a new corp, I wouldn't bother with PC until it's 'fixed'. It's a pain in the ass to snipe a district and it's way expensive to clone pack your way into a district. I mean, I guess you could buy a district but where's the fun in that?

The entire fight your opponent until you can beat them is a nice thought. Reality is that trying to build up a small corp into PC is close to impossible requires more time in this game than any Dev has ever seen and the constant vigilance to suffer defeats not only on the battlefield but within the corp.
Any time a great player shows up in a small corp they take the beatings until they decide losing isn't fun any more and they promptly leave for larger more well known corps. The talent isn't spread out enough and there isn't enough new talent to begin anew. You can't expect a new corp to progress unless they have the chance to build a fighting group. if they are the same group getting beaten over and over its not a question of whether they have the balls or not, its a question of whether or not they have the sanity to know when to stop..... it is only a game.

But seriously, I don't think ppl can brag about how many districts they have locked down at any given time. There's no value in taking pawns, not only off the table, but home with you after you play chess with someone. You're not proving anything (well, you are kind of ;)), you're just making your opponent play a different game.

All corps are made different with different plans for where they want to go with there dust life. Zatara has a good eye for talent and has put together a solid corp when no one thought he could. Some new corps rush into PC when there guys are not ready and have to hire ringers for every fight they have which does not teach them anything.

I dunno took about 3 weeks for me to find enough talent. It's all there in the pubs.
Thankfully you have people like 843 Bane and Calisk and xDestruction and Carlos and Fusion Commander and Unique Id that are just 2 examples of people from 3 corps who operate (generally) on a completely different plane than the vast majority of their peers.
But despite the people around them not being in the same caliber as them, they stick it out and carry those teams to places they otherwise couldn't reach.
Immagine if Kalente had quit AE because after a month of fighting TP AE's record was 4 wins and 13 losses and having been kicked from PC 3x (and only getting in by smashing weaker crops into oblivion like 187.).
It's a matter of loyalty and perseverance and most of all hope. And hope is the job of the leadership, they have to sell the dream and keep it alive in their players minds and hearts.

I'm glad you got some of this on video. This is why you dont get new people coming into PC (Or at least one of the many reasons). Who wants to play a broken ass game mode like that?
Bugs and just general problems of this nature is one of the many reasons why DUST in general has a small player base. That is before we even go anywhere near balance issues in the game.
If in 1.8 CCP doesn't make a REAL effort to balance and fix problems then I swear what little of the player base remains will also leave. Its sad, I hope this game lives on and becomes great but right now I just dont have faith in CCP. |

And equally a lot of corps dilly dally for so long that they get nothing done and get left behind. Spend too much time 'training' and you won't get anything done! There is a fine line which is hard to find for a lot of corporations
