Everyone and their mom is a heavy now. This would be okay if the game was actually balanced and glitch free, but it just isn't. All these ridiculous events - it's like having a NASCAR race with a prototype car on an unfinished track.
This game was already hard enough for scouts, but I simply cannot deal with the shear volume of heavies. I just can't kill anything. I may get close, but then a heavy steps in the way and absorbs all the bullets and wipes me out.
That LMG... I don't want to complain about it being OP, because that isn't the way to go, but as a scout I sure as hell don't have hit points, all I have is my speed, and even with ComKats, Com Shield Extenders, and Enhanced Armor plates I just cannot get away. They fire deal too much dps for my speed/small amount of HP. I just cannot get away from that HMG, even at a pretty decent distance it still wipes me out. It's just so accurate. What is my role as a scout if not to get in fast, disrupt the objective and get out? The heavy is designed to storm and hold objectives, so that makes things difficult for me, and now there's so many that I can't do anything with any objective. I try to take cover but I just can't make it in time. I try to stay in cover and never reveal myself, but that just means when I run into a heavy I'm face to face with them. I may be close to getting into safe cover, but then I get stuck on invisible debris, or just can't make it up that hill that my grandma could walk up. I try to move with my squad, but then I get wiped out because I'm not a heavy, lol.
My problem isn't entirely with the HMG, I was just venting a little, my point is the game isn't finished enough to be pushing events and playstyles like this. I can make it behind a wall and still get wrecked because the scouts hit box lags behind them. I can sneak up on a heavy and plow away at him with my Ishukone Nova Knifes, charged, and do zero damage because all I get are blue shields because this glitch has still not been fixed. But of course he still gets tipped off that an attack came from that direction so then, they turn around and blow me away.
I know I am not supposed to go toe to toe with them, and I try not too, but I have to fight eventually if I want to get anything done. In the past two weeks I managed to raise my KDR by .08, but since this event it's already fallen by .03. I simply cannot deal with all of these heavies and this event has seriously made this game unplayable for me, and this upsets me. |

I don't find the tanks to be such a difficult thing, because you can go where they can't. The part that sucks is you can easily be confined to one objective because of all of them. But at least you can still get kills with all the tanks running around. Plus I could jump in a buddies tank myself. Plus I have AV grenades that deal a substantial blow to them. Plenty of ways to deal with tanks. Not many ways to deal with heavies aside from coming in after your team has taken everything or just not playing the game. |

if you're gonna go scout vs heavy u got 3 real options- try and get him with remotes try and get to his back with a shotgun try and use your mobility with a long range weapon to outrange him
if you're not doing those dont bother, and those are pretty difficult when your target is in a group, but scouts should alway avoid groups or in big firefights get behind the enemy then hit n run with a shotty...
But anyways ya, killing heavies with a scout is best done with a scanner+shotgun combo, thats your best bet dude.

What's your KDR? No offense but I've found that when most people say they aren't having any problems while being at a disadvantage, it's because they've always sucked lol
I used to go 2 to 1, I even had a few 20+ kills, ~5 death games but then this event dropped and now I'm lucky if I go 1 to 1.
I typically run shotgun (militia, I have no skills for it), SMG, or Nova Knives and my equipment is always nanite injectors or drop uplinks. Definitely not working for me now. |

shotgun to the back works quite well, I have 3x complex damage mods and im sure if you had proficiency they would die before they can even turn round.
sometimes i get the third shot in sometimes they turn round and get me,
honestly heavies make so much noise, don't run around in CQC, home in on your target when they make enough noise. i really need shotgun proficiency, want that rate of fire up!! |

those fatties show up like christmas trees on my radar if they get anywhere near me - maybe ditch the speed and stamina enhancements in favor of something...shall we say, more stealthy? I usually go between 5-1 and 20-10, with the odd horrible game thrown in. But you know what? Proficiency 5 proto scrambler pistol to the head with a complex damage mod will shut down most any heavy if and when they don't see me coming... if they do, all the kincats in the world aren't gonna outrun a bullet! |

I think your equipment is where your going wrong then. Although its a bit noobish and not entirely necessary I run a quantum scanner. the ability to know the numbers and direction of players is too good to pass up. Also it counters the lousy peripheral vision.
I don't know my KD as its not important and largely irrelevant as I play lots of roles including dedicated logi - which can have a high attrition rate. but I almost always go positive and like you been known to go 20 to 3/4 ish quite regularly. It mostly depends on the map (******* MANUS PEAK!)
Edit: also I recommend the CR. Its perfect for mid range engagements but does require a good investment of SP to make it good for a scout

heavy killing instructions by gavr1lo pr1nc1p- 1) equip either -a. k5 spec. SG+SMG, or b. ishnoks+CR 2) For ishnoks, make sure you have the knives fully charged, and after slashing, rapidly press R1 again, the heavy may no have died 3) for shotgun usage, make sure you are within 2m before you fire for maximum effect. After you fire, it the heavy begins to turn, jump over his head, aim downwards and hit him right in the massive head hitbox, and listen to the glorious "Pwwwwonnng!" 4)get behind cover, scan ahead, and repeat
