FW gear allows you to spec into proto suits at advanced level. I don't know if saving 2,000,000 SP is reason enough for others to farm LP but it is for me. with 1 months SP I could get Min commando, sentinel, assault and logi to lvl 3 and run proto suits for all if I so wish...and I do...and I will.  When you eliminate the lower skill requirements, yeah, LP sucks...but if you want to spec into lots of **** while still focussing most your SP to your primary role, this stuff is great.

I play Min FW to get the Republic HMGs. A win (AKA every match) rewards 15 AUR HMGs. That's actually quite nice.
Though I do agree FW sucks- I roll Amarr logi on my alt and I've all but given up on Amarr FW. Last I checked both the AmarrFW and PIE Ground Control channels were dead. |

Screw FW. The only decent things in the LP store are the specialist weapons which have reduced PG/CPU. Everything else is garbage and not worth getting. In my opinion all faction modules/weapons should have better fitting costs then their ISK variants. Sure its nice to have proto stuff at lvl3 but for vets this is not appealing cause i got over 31 mil SP.

Its not broken.Yer head is .Your standings in a faction do not increase unless you win matches/battles.Your LP payout increases based on the level you are at. Your standings to that faction.Loosing match after match and afking in faction warfare is quite frankly ******** and the farmers should go play skirmish where winning really doesn't matter . In FW it does matter.I think its hilarious all the dumb people that just come in to faction warfare and throw down links like its another Skirm match are hilarious they get absolutley nothing as you've already told us.SO maybe they should actually try to win?Instead of farming ...maybe.
You have to understand I dont really mean any disrespect to you .Im just sick of the Sorry ass blue dots that dont do anything to win in FW.Leaving guys like me and my squad to sink millions into trying to win most of the time making it a 6 vs 16 match.Some may laugh at this but wait . Im at level 9 Standings and if I loose I make way more than they do .If I win the match my payout is based on my Loyalty to my faction . I have over 100 hundred proto dropsuits and 40k plus Amarr LP.Now is that worth what Ive spent in Amarr fw.The answer to that is no.
The current system is fine.Its to discourage by loss of ISK the noobs and the farmers.Not how good a person can farm uplinks. Not Redline rail tanking.Alot of people think that if they play FW they wont get OB'd repeatedly Because there's no AI OB support.But they are wrong.Fw warfare isnt for everyone and wasnt made for anyone else but the truly dedicated.
The system isnt broken ....it works fine....if you win.
