this isn't COD. There are other types of weapons. While you were here crying, I was ingame learning their strengths and weaknesses. For example you won't see them doing too well on low or flat ground. So now I know where I can find them. I bet my IAFG has more range.

You can learn to aim a Plasma Cannon as well, but that doesn't mean it's not hard.

Be as paranoid as you like OP, fact is that the MD (even with buffs) will only outperform direct hit weapons where they always have tight spaces or when the MD user has elevation on his opponents. Since they flattened the arc on the MD since Chromosome landing rounds on enemies behind cover is mostly restricted to when MD operator has elevation.
I ran MD through all of chromosome and half of Uprising. I have Prof 5 in the weapon currently, I just don't use it much because unless I am playing support logi to a full squad my AScR or RR is a much more effective weapon. I am well versed with how the MD works and its limitations, the damage buff is going to make it powerful and a little more viable, but it still has serious drawbacks and is very easily countered. I'd suggest you spend some time using the weapon before declaring it is going to be OP.
Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

really all the MD needs is a buff to armor effectiveness. this would also raise the value of shield tanking. whatever. i've used MD since september 2012. nothing to see here since it's buff will only last 1 build before renerfing it again.

Why its the only bonus that makes reasonable sense.
Caldari should have the RR spool increased so Cal Assault has spool management bonus.
Min Increased recoil, so recoil bonus.
Gal perhaps gets better RoF bonuses, or something in keeping with their racial proclivity.

Minmatar have always had mag size, its more fitting with the feel of minmatar. In your example your screwing the minmatar and caldari over.
You are then giving Gallante higher DPS amd amarrians still getmthensame bonus that gives them higher sustained DPS , there is no way you can get a bonus like that without giving thenMinmatar some kind of useful bonus.

They removed +1 clip bonus? Can I get some confirmation? I think it's a good idea to remove it, just wanting to know what they're going to replace it with.
Rifles are getting a nerf but they'll still have AA and the aiming isn't as bad in general like that one build where the MD was FOTM. I really don't want a repeat of that.

Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Md should be crowd control and area denial. But it should not win 1v1s unless the opponent is terrible. A splash weapon should not be viable as a main. As part of a squad? Helping to damage groups and throw off thier aim? Yes. Personally I think the md would've been betters served as plasma not explosive. Allow it to strip the shields of a group and let your squad rack up kills |

I can't really comment on if it will replace the RR as the default weapon, but I've been using nothing but the mass driver for about 6 months now, and I like to think I've gotten pretty good with it. Having said that, I think the MD doesn't currently compete very well.
A few points that should be considered:
The mass driver is quite easy to aim between 0-25M. After that it gets rather difficult, especially if you're being shot at. The upside is that the aim function is never required.
If you're shooting at somebody on higher ground, the difficulty trebles (at least!)
Loads of damage if you get a direct hit, but they're very difficult to get. You can aim at the redberry's body, but if you miss, you likely won't get any damage as it'll travel another 6-7M. I think most MD players would rather go for a more certain half damage.
Shield tanking suits laugh at you, as do most heavies. When I see either, I go the other way around.
Long reload time. Even at level 5 reload. it takes a damn long time. I play logi so I don't even have a sidearm. You have to plan well.
Explosives hurt you too. I've had quite a few canny players meet me in close quarters and simply run up to me while firing, meaning that in that last dash to kill them, you can quite often kill yourself too.
Small ammo capacity. You can't run a mass-driver without nanohives, so it in-effect takes up two slots and quite a lot more PG/CPU than just the gun itself. At the same time, the nerf to hives is coming into effect, making it even more difficult to to run them.
Of course there's many good things about them as well. There's nothing quite like setting up shop on an elevated position and taking down red dot after red dot, but there's also that same sinking feeling you get when a red crests the top of a hill by you, and realizing that you're going to have to run all the way to the top before you can think of shooting at him.
It will make for a bit more variety, even if it is a bit OP, which I definitely don't think it will be. Isn't anybody else getting a bit tired of the rifle spam?
