TBH, I think you can sum up every alliance in PC with the reason of Eve Support. I know that's why AE and NS are in RA as opposed to any other alliance, and it's definitely why we and SVER are in GT. The only other answer you might get is branding from the NF guys.

Hmm, here what I think about that though is that there is more, I mean RA, GT, TM, ROFL, EoN, NF, LoI, TUC, LRA, CORVOS, and many others all have other motives So just eve support not Dust support? why are you in an alliance that has dust players I'm sure there's an EVE alliance that wouldn't mind 1-2 dust corps of your caliber then and can give you more support?
I will grant you that NS definitely benefits from being in an alliance with the dominant Western block - RA as a whole gets access to a bunch of timers which are hard to target and NS get's insurance that if those timers are ever flipped they can be flipped back just as readily by their allies. The time zone advantage is a big one and a really underrated one right now imo.
As far as ROFL, LOl, and EoN. are relics of an earlier time when there were more alliances because of corp battles. At the beginning of PC there were seven major alliances. At the time there were forty some highly competitive corps all with good corp battle records and all of whom were eagerly pairing up and flaunting their colors and showing off their allies. Now there are three major alliances (By major I mean has multiple landowning corps outside of PFC) and I believe that from here on out alliances will never be like it was, since we now know who's on top. Alliances has become less a diplomatic flaunting and more a tactical actuality. Formal alliances are in many was a thing of the past with informal positioning being the key. I predict we'll see alliances more and more that are collections of allies clamoring for eve support.
As I understand it, Top Men. is mostly a collection of dust players who come from Eve and want their alliances to carry over. NF as I already said and this thread has pointed out, is about branding.
LRA was initially founded with the intention of being a merc independent alliance, i.e. an alliance led by mercs rather than Eve players. As it is gameplay mechanics and lack of eve integration has led to many alliances being headed by mercs. I'm not sure what LRA is doing now.
I was never quite sure what the umbra combine was. I don't know corvos.

When EoN. was on top, they applied (did they ever join?) there. When EoN. retired, they joined up with AE, as did DDB so they'd have someone to carry them through PC. (And I'm sure there are a few other alliances I missed.)
They did join EoN. briefly, don't forget they were also prof V until AE beat them.

Agreed 100%As far as ROFL, LOl, and EoN. are relics of an earlier time when there were more alliances because of corp battles. At the beginning of PC there were seven major alliances. I predict we'll see alliances more and more that are collections of allies clamoring for eve support. Eon.'s got RND and R* hell I think RND,Onslaught,KEQ,UPS,WRavens, and GAC ought to move on because they've got plenty of potential As I understand it, Top Men. is mostly a collection of dust players who come from Eve and want their alliances to carry over. NF as I already said and this thread has pointed out, is about branding. Top Men's almost 100% DUST and unrelated to EVE until the Gents need help we're out on a raft in the middle of the ocean... NF, they're a brand a household name, NF are mercs, hell I'll be suprised if PL doesn't get into an agreement with themLRA was initially founded with the intention of being a merc independent alliance, i.e. an alliance led by mercs rather than Eve players. As it is gameplay mechanics and lack of eve integration has led to many alliances being headed by mercs. I'm not sure what LRA is doing now. Same hereI was never quite sure what the umbra combine was. TSOLE I don't know corvos .IDK Matthew Dust is part of it though
RND is unofficially allied with us, there was talk of them joining GT but it seems they decided to keep the old EoN. flag flying, a decision I completely sympathize with. This all just points to what I'm saying, alliances are artificial now. Allies aren't permanent, they never were, but now we in FA aren't any more distant from RND than we are from SVER. And that's nothing against SVER they're great guys but where the official alliance boundaries fall means nothing now.
I wasn't fully aware what Top Men are. Still not tbh. perhaps you can educate me.
I am aware that TSOLE is in Umbra Combine, but I don't know what the alliance is or what it is for. Timezone extension most likely.

Zatara, I think it's right now people think TSO's alliance is awesome because they have the most EVE pilots in MH out of a DUST alliance, but they are tiny in comparison to the CFC. If CCP does re-invent PC to a point where it becomes seriously relevant to EVE players. Soraya is probably correct. Most people are joining Tso's Alliance because they have the biggest EVE support in MH. what's to stop them from joining the most successful group in the game. Unless there is a glue that holds people together in Tso's alliance, SVER will probably wind up joining CFC.
Someone mentioned Tso having a fleet of 40 ships, in 6VDT Test showed up with a 40 man fleet and we undocked with 500 ships.
You're right in principle, I'll point out that CFC is mainly cap dominant, their sub capital game is subpar, and caps are useless in low sec, also that CFC is stupid rich printing money off of half of null sec. Unless CCP seriously changes PC, expanding it to other systems CFC will more than likely continue to not care about it, although I could see TEST getting interested. TLDR; most likely bigger fish will come, but still not the biggest. I'm guessing PC 2.0 will be modest.
