Not to mention they could light the torches at Minas Tirith and bring in a lot of backup.
A month ago 8-10 ships were sufficient...hell for the first few weeks Himiko was blapping 4-5 nublets from Renegade without ever losing a ship. But since then it's really heated up with all the fighting.
I can't even imagine PC2.0 tbh.
It'll be tougher for a lot of peeps when the only OB's are Eve OB's, similar to Faction Warfare.
Not to burst your bubble Zatara but last night you guys had 20 or so pilots in orbit, and one small group of actual Eve pilots came in and took all your guys out multiple times. I would agree you guys have the strongest Dust support in Eve but there's many in Molden Heath that dont play Dust. Not to burst your bubble but we had a 27 man fleet last night split 3 ways covering multiple matches at the same time...some were our own and some were contracts...anyone else in MH able to do that? And yes 7-2 has hot dropped us as have some null groups cause we give good fights and good fights are what we look for. Feel to check our kill boards and the engagement reports.
Confirming what c00kie is saying. 7-2 are one of the best groups I've ever had the pleasure of fighting in this game. They love to come at us, even when massively outnumbered, which is a rare thing in EVE. Sometimes they get whelped, sometimes they bridge a dozen lokis/redeemers with carrier support onto assault frigs. It depends on who they have within jump range when we are out and about, tbh.
The overwhelming cause for getting whelped, especially when doing these OB support runs, is that sitting too long in one place makes you a static target with most tactical information readily available to scouts. It all depends on whether the hunters can get enough guys to the spot to take on the campers, and if they don't like the situation, they just won't do anything about it.
Last night, in particular, 7-2 threw a cruiser gang at our assault frig fleet, and lost all but 1 ship. Round 2: they came back with more ships and one more logi when our fleet was split covering 2 districts, and they killed one of us as we.. uh... attacked in another direction? lulz. We killed an interceptor of theirs as they pulled out and it was all-around even kills both times. Good fights all around.

I <3 Dust despite sucking at it.

If only you could hear our comms. Cat herding doesn't begin to describe what being the FC of our fleet is like.

If only you could hear our comms. Cat herding doesn't begin to describe what being the FC of our fleet is like. This can be solved with better comms. If whatever method you use to organize voice comms allows random scrubs to talk over the FC, you have bad voice comms.
Bad = fun. I left the military in 2008, this is a game I play for lulz.
People that like silence on a voice communication program aren't getting their money's worth.
