Extra equip, better slot layout for adv gal, our proto now will be our adv, and our adv will be our basic, 20 m scan range, 3 passive sp for gal, I dunno bout you but it's gonna be lovely bud! |

I run almost exclusively Sp+Kn on my suits - saves already low pg/CPU for modules ( I don't carry nades, either), and like someone here said - one damage modifier boosts both weapons. And as a mostly stealthy/support type scout - a pistol short range to the head or a charged stab close quarters eleminates all but the heaviest of heavies! And if you see me, I've failed in my scoutly duties and deserve the death that likely follows... |

If i'm gonna run knives, i'd run it with my pistol, dat OHK is essential, it definitely limits you're range instead of running a combat or rail rifle...
Out of topic but i run shotgun with pistol now, sometimes SMG when theres tons of gallante and heavies...
Assassination is my thing.

I started running pistols only a while ago. I've gone back to rifles or Shotty for a week but it never sticks. Everyone has said it all. For me its:
1.) Challenge - to hit, to conserve ammo, to get close
2.) Fitting cost - helps me fit better modules on my suit
3.) Cool factor. ScP's sound great ripping off shots. It really entertains me during a match.
4.) OHK potential with headshots
5.) Maximize the potential of sidearm damage mods.
6.) It's cost efficient
-The main drawback is range. But I like to sneak up on people because it's challenging. I die a lot too, light weapons are just better in so many situations.

Pistols hit really hard for their fitting requirements, Smg's are really good and knives from adv tier and up are really strong. If you're running 2 sidearms you're effectively getting double mileage out of sidearm damage mods, and with small profile and proper equipment you don't 'need' a main weapon like a rifle, because a pistol or smg can do just as good. |
