How bout we just lower the Cost of skill points needed to skill in to AV ???
let me know what you guys think like you only need 1mill sp to max out everything in SL ???
think about it AV is the same new players dont need to spend all there sp only in AV to fight tanks and can uses the sp they save for running around and killing other drop suits !
Its a win win for tankers and the new players !!

Its a win win for tankers and the new players !! and reduce cost and fitting requirements for av only weapons. this then allows for them to be carried as extras and not as main weapons which is what puts players off using them.
reduce cost and fitting requirements sounds good but moving as main weapons to a side would make some drops suits over powered as they can be fast cheep and kill tanks just as ez as other drop suits then why have the other drop suits when you can run the drop suits that do everything ??
reduce cost and fitting requirements and SP cost is better idea

yes that is so .... but something is telling me they have new tanks coming out that may off set a pro tank of one race if the others newly added tank in mlt if better or cheaper and works just the same way .

1: Hell no, tiercide. 2: There has never been adv. or PROTO HAV's ingame, just horribly balanced tech 2's.

i was driving them in E3 patch !
they never added t2 pro was what was be for they would add T2 and adv where the glass canons they had back not to long ago that skill was ranged combat .

CCP was like ok tank to OP lets see if we copy what this bad furry guy do,s with his" king soma " .... make a week tank thats bent on range combat and flanking !
it was a good tank and the cost was ok just needed bigger maps ...if you put it this way the tank was the red line sniper tank that the railgun on it would have been 850 m not 600 with better zoom but the maps where not as big as they needed to be to fit a 850 m range tank so raill gun stands at 600 and the roll was still in the hands of cheeped tanks like the king soma
so in the end ccp removes them . but they where not a bad tank and was avd tank

I remember it being meta lvl6 and having the PRO symbol. If CCP listened to the community then you could claim credit
no they did that do to my skill in the king soma they make the pro tanks sound OP id blow em up with the MLt tanks soma .... its why dmg mods go now into hi slots not lows

Speaking from the perspective of someone whose AV is PLC, Flaylock, AV 'nades, and REs/PEs: I don't think any of those weapons/equipment are really in a bad place. They're not perfect, but they're not unusable either. I'd like to see some more explosives to help with AVing.
Honestly, I don't think the problem is so much with the stats as it is with the people who want to use the (light) AV. The majority of people I see using Swarms, PLCs, and AV 'nades just try to aggro the tank the instant they get the chance. Most don't even consider REs or PEs valid and they either get ignored or try to be aggro'd (ie: charging face-first at an HAV while attempting to stick it with REs). Those who are serious light AV players know that the role requires tactics, regardless of whether he/she is with a team or solo.

I'd rather not see the overall SP required for AV reduced for three reasons: 1) AV isn't really a category and is hard to define. Reducing SP investment would also affect the SP for Explosives (which are not just AV, ie: locus grenades & REs) and both the FG and PLC, while "primarily AV" also affect infantry. 2) The only way to get better with AV is to use brains and not braun (like I mentioned before). Making powerful AV more readily available isn't going to help new players; it will just make the overconfident and lazy thinking they are better than they actually are. 3) People who aren't going to commit and at least attempt to get the job done properly don't need to get in the way of those of us who are trying to. I can't tell you how many times someone starts unloading on a vehicle that I'm setting up to destroy and it screws me over. Would rather have them harassing the infantry than having more people who think they can solo tanks.
yes but the SL has no way of killing a drop suit AV nades are the same .
most players dont use there brains they come from COD and other redo FPS games and will just sit here and cry till we do something to at lest shut 10% of them up.

SL could probably be changed with little consequence, less so the others. AV nades are attached to the Grenade skill tree (which includes Locus & Flux), so unless the tree were to be split, reducing the skill requirement would further support the nade spam from new players. No comment on those 10%; don't want to touch it.
