Again, it's contingent upon CCP to pony up and release trading tools which has been frequently described as a priority point. That means you can forget about or place this event upon a back burner until tools are released or youcan be like ppersistent players and start writing your own challenges today (1-20 tickets). Late comers may need to take on more extreme challenges if they want to catch up to those that stuck with the contest.
By the way you can complete your own challenges as long as you follow protocol and some restrictions.

I will most certainly take that into consideration; I would have to imagine the pot would need to be around 3 billion ISK for people to take that kind of plunge. Additionally, its a lot more difficult to track BPOs to a character whereas you can see the lifetime sp from the biomass screen. Quick and easy to verify.

Then again...if I wanted to sweeten the pot I would create a challenge to have people donate their BPOs to DJINN B4lock for the lottery (if CCP gave us the ability to do so). There's honestly a snowball's chance in hell of players providing their BPOs to this contest.

Personally, I'd double your estimates and set it up this way.
Level 4 Biomass = 8 tickets
Your BPOs (doubled estimates) = 32 tickets
Your Level Commission with BPOs = (BPO Value) * 0.4 = 12.8 (13 Tickets)
*If you were level 5 the commission would read. (BPO Value) * 0.5 = 16 (16 Tickets)
That would place you at 53 tickets for a biomassed. You'd be close to outraking a level 10 character that way.
