The concept is quite simple. You destroy your clone for a hefty payout of tickets to the Dust Challenge Lottery. Player gear, ISK, and Faction Standing has no bearing on payout.
Each number in the ticket allotment category corresponds to a 1 million SP increase. Biomassing a 3 million SP character will award the player 4 ticket. Whereas, biomassing a 21 million SP character will award 760 tickets.
Ticket allotment (1, 2,4), (8,12,16,) (24,32,40) (56,72,88) (120,152,184) (248,312,376) (504,632,760) . . . Addition Factor per segment 248 16 32 64 128 . . .
Challenges can only be claimed by video. Place your character into the biomass queue, wait 10 hours, then film the deletion with the character name and Sp amounts clearly visible.

Understandable. This is going to be a long term lottery and these are the current prizes. Do bear in mind that players cannot purchase tickets so the only manner for the ISK pot to grow is via donation or this linked challenge below. It is quite possible to see a prize pot of 2 billion ISK. Stay tuned.

I got to much on this toon (BPOs and such) Bear in mind CCP may allow you to transfer those items off of a character when player trading opens. All this challenge revolves around is the lifetime sp of a character. Never the less....your challenges are becoming dastardly evil I was talking with Castor about this an he expressed the same concerns. These kinds of things can gain the attention of gaming press which is an excellent thing for Dust 514 and the community as a whole. There is a logic behind allowing these types of extreme difficulty ("evil") challenges. This lottery can be as big or as small as people make it. The player created challenges open up the potential for anyone to get involved with this event and participate in the game in unique ways; however they don't pay out particularly well. This is where mega challenges such as corporate sabotage and wallet theft and biomassing come into play. These in many regards serve as outlets for corporations to battle against one another (or sole mercs as well). I can see two major scenarios playing out.
a. One or more high level mercs destroy their corporation wallet for mega tickets then destroy their alt clone as insurance to win. And they start a new life on an undisclosed alt with more isk and grenades than they know what to do with.
b. A savvy corporation would make it appear they were ripped off and use willing members to stack the game in their favor. I'm sure a corp could do a lot with 30000 proto grenades among other things.
Both approaches are the material of great stories in the New Eden narrative.
As for ripping off players that participate in my lottery by not following through on my promises it's an understandable tag line of crook to say that "I will not scam you." What I can say is that over the year and a half of being with Dust 514 I have left a lot of links and materials that connect back to my real identity. I would not want to make enemies with players (i.e. the Russians). What I am attempting to do with this event and its challenges are to enhance the sandbox of Dust 514 through novel community interaction and content creation.

This http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2010-09/14/eve-online-heist That was also content creation. Also corp sabotage and clone biomass for a chance at a lottery? Your better off with ISK tickets. Look to SOMER BLINK as a good way to run a lottery. Touch+¬.
Where is the fun in running a lottery strictly by ISK bought tickets. It's boring. In no way am I forcing you to do these challenges.

Again, it's contingent upon CCP to pony up and release trading tools which has been frequently described as a priority point. That means you can forget about or place this event upon a back burner until tools are released or youcan be like ppersistent players and start writing your own challenges today (1-20 tickets). Late comers may need to take on more extreme challenges if they want to catch up to those that stuck with the contest.
By the way you can complete your own challenges as long as you follow protocol and some restrictions.

I think you should sweeten the pot for people biomassing characters with BPOs. Destruction is beautiful and should be rewarded. ED: To further make my case... SP is cheap. People get it every second of every day. Now BPOs, those aren't ever coming back. You can make a new character, but you can't get your Toxin SMG back. I will most certainly take that into consideration; I would have to imagine the pot would need to be around 3 billion ISK for people to take that kind of plunge. Additionally, its a lot more difficult to track BPOs to a character whereas you can see the lifetime sp from the biomass screen. Quick and easy to verify.

Also, biomassing someone else's account does not count for this competition, at the moment (e.g. a terrible roommate or a younger sibling). That might make things too dicey.

After looking over the ticket payouts for other challenges, I'd value the Dragonfly and Toxin BPOs at 3 additional ticket a piece (they'll be pretty common should the market ever come into existence), but the Exile AR BPO at 10 tickets. There was a maximum of 2 per account given out, so they'll be quite a bit rarer. I intend to forfeit my license to inhale oxygen once I hit 4 million SP, which would put me at 24 tickets. I think a 4 mil SP merc with BPOs is more valuable than a 7 mil SP merc (also 24 tickets) given that no more of these BPOs will ever exist, don't you? I can submit a video of me opening my assets and highlighting the BPOs prior to biomassing. Personally, I'd double your estimates and set it up this way. Level 4 Biomass = 8 tickets Your BPOs (doubled estimates) = 32 tickets Your Level Commission with BPOs = (BPO Value) * 0.4 = 12.8 (13 Tickets) *If you were level 5 the commission would read. (BPO Value) * 0.5 = 16 (16 Tickets)
That would place you at 53 tickets for a biomassed. You'd be close to outraking a level 10 character that way.

There is also no commodity or resource which makes this profitable EVE side either. But have fun with your POnzi Im sure an email from CCP is already in your inbox Not that my motives are selling the many incubating alts that I may or may not have, but if you are familiar with EVE's current market systems protocols are in place to allow players to sell their characters within game. The precendent exists but it's unlikely that CCP will bring this system to a Sony Entertainment mediated game. However, the primary motive I do have for this particular brand of challenges is its noteworthiness for CCP to show to gaming press and consumers the unique brand of New Eden social influence which exists in this FPS MMO.

It's shared with all mercs on an account, and I will be leaving my piddly sum of AUR to my next of kin. I can make up for it with one last obliteratory ISK transfer, though! Exactly 8,760,000 should do it? Yes. Right! I'll edit that for purchased AUR. This would entail filming a purchase of AUR items on the character you are set to biomass. Don't worry about the 9 tickets for AUR, I have a good surprise in store for you.

Do bear in mind that your multiplier while decrease after successive skillpoint tiers. You may make more from completing challenges on the Bigshot Bounty Board with your current potential 3.7x bonus. Additionally, you would also increase the payout to players helping you film challenges further increasing your ticket potential as a team or corporation.
To illustrate, please read the bottom of this post.

Don't worry it appears Jungian is not going to aoply his level 40 character biomass toward this challenge. However, I am instituting a level cap at 37 so the payout structure does not go beyond 32760 tickets. This is a balance change for the health of the lottery.

@Joseph Ridgeson Thank you sir for the explanation. I'm glad to see a Bonus Round Modifier is working well for you.
@IMMORTAL WAR HERO You can apply for this challenge in two different ways, but they effect how I can calculate your ticket payout. The latter will pay more but requires you have the ability to film.
First Method: Biomass and Recreate Character Here, you take a picture of your character sheet which includes information on lifetime SP, lifetime WP, and kill/death ratio. Above all I must know the lifetime sp. This information is used to calculate what's called a bonus round benefit (brb)--a modifier which highly boosts the payout of completing player challenges. The strength of the modifier is tied to SP level of a biomassed character. Before death, I ask that you name a beneficiary to apply both tickets and the modifier upon. To complete this approach I ask that you recreate the character name exactly and post to the forums. What happens is both character appear simultaneously, albeit one is in an old archived state as seen here.
Second method: Snuff Film With this approach, in addition to the information used in the previous method, I can give more tickets to character's death by factoring in Blueprints held on character in addition to any ISK left on character at moment of death or value of AUR items left on the character (when displaying BPO and AUR items in a video, the character sheet must be included in the same segment).
I ask that you closely follow the videos left by Disturbingly Bored for the character Kaydee Rashyo. [Item Documentation] [The End of Kaydee Rashyo]

With the video method, this is what your character biomass payout receipt will similarly appear as.
Kaydee Rashyo
Biomass Value of SP: Tier 4m sp pays 8 tickets Blueprints: -Dragonfly Scout [nSv] - 6 tickets -Toxin SMG - 6 tickets -Exile AR - 20 tickets Total = 32 Your Level Commission with BPOs: (BPO Value) * 0.4 = 12.8 (13 Tickets) Total War Points 28,504 WP * .0001 = 2.8 (3 TIckets) ISK and AUR Destoryed (8,760,000 ISK * 0.000001) + (0 Purchased AUR * 0.004) = 8.76 (9 Tickets) Forum Warrior 29 Likes 20 Total Posts 0 Threads Created 9,572 Characters Typed .29+.20+0+0.0009572 = 0.4909572 (1 Ticket) Forerunner Bonus 20 tickets

Alright Dusties, after some deliberation I'm making a change to challenge parameters to maintain Lottery Event balance in the wake of biomass protests to the fanfest announcement.
The new payout structure per SP level is as follows.
Biomass Payout and Multiplier
(1 ticket, 2 tickets, 4 tickets) [ Levels 1-3 1.7x Multiplier (8, 12, 16) [ Levels 4-6 4x Multiplier (24, 32, 40) [ Levels 7-9 3.9X Multiplier (56, 72, 88) [Levels 10-12 3.7x Multiplier (120, 152, 184) [ Levels 13-15 3.5x Multiplier (248, 312, 376) [ Levels 16-18 3.3x Multiplier (504, 632, 760) [ Levels 19-21 2.9x Multiplier (1016, 1272, 1528) [ Levels 22-24 2.7x Multiplier
The level cap is now at 24 million SP. If your character is beyond this you will only receive the maximum 1528 tickets before calculation of other attributes.

Also, General John Ripper (The Noob Destroyer) here is a calculation for a biomass receipt for tickets to be transferred to MoonEagle_A. You will also be the first and final person to apply a high sp character toward this event in this manner.
Biomass Value of SP: Tier 33m sp pays 12280 tickets Blueprints: Unconfirmed Total = n/a Your Level Commission with BPOs: (BPO Value) * 3.3 = N/A Total War Points n/a WP * .0001 = n/a ISK and AUR Destoryed (n/a ISK * 0.000001) + (n/a Purchased AUR * 0.004) = n/a Forum Warrior 21213 Likes 7236 Total Posts 178 Threads Created 2,304,548 Characters Typed 212.13+72.36+17.8+0.2304548 = 302.5204548 (303 Tickets)
If you would like to contribute more toward MoonEagle_A, I would ask for PSN receipt of the BPO packs you discussed and a final video of your biomass showing the amount of ISK destroyed on character.
