Amarr and Minmatar Vehicles are long overdue and I've been pondering what could possibly be the hold up.

The immediate thought that pops to mind is the lack of art assets for them, so I started thinking about them. Why not utilize existing art assets from Eve? Obviously they'd need to be tweaked a little, but they'd give a good base.

 Amarr
 MCC: Abaddon
 Dropship: Harbringer
 HAV: Golden Madrugar reskin
LAV: Golden Methana reskin (with a popemobile feel to it)

 Minmatar
 MCC: Nidhoggur
 Dropship: Thrasher
 HAV: Rusty Gunloggi reskin
LAV: Rusty Saga reskin (with a dunebuggy feel to it)

The ADS's would be essentially the same as the DS's only with the front turret.

All that would be left then would be the turrets. Artillery/Autocannon and Beam/Pulse lasers would be the obvious choices for obvious reasons. 40mm and 250mm for the Artillery, 12.7mm and 150mm for the Autocannon. I wouldn't know where to start with what could be used by the Amarr outside of Beam/Pulse lasers.

 Comments? Questions? Suggestions?

 Awesome, I forgot about those.

Still kinda wish the MCC looked like a Niddy and the DS looked like a Thrasher.

I'm not too fond of the Amarr DS. Lose those wings. I kind of like them. It looks like a cross between the Dragoon and the Harbinger. Downside is increased area to hit and possible obstruction of the turret field of view. Hard to say without a more detailed model. I hope CCP posts more on these in the near future, it's LONG overdue. Unfortunately, I suspect we'll have to wait until fanfest at the earliest. IDK, I <3 Thrashers (probably my favorite ship in Eve aside from Minmatar Transport Ships), I really wish the DS model was more akin to the Thrashers than it is.

I also think it would be awesome to see a flight of them pouring forth from a baby-niddy just over the battlefield.

 Amarr:
 DS: Cherub
 ADS: Seraph
 HAV: Ramiel
 LAV: Irin

 Minmatar:
 DS: Goll
 ADS: Geirdriful
 HAV: Balmung
 LAV: Hati/ Skoll
I wasn't plagiarizing names, I was giving graphical examples.

I'd hope we get full Racial Parity first and then everything else that comes along with it.

I mean, each race having their full allotment of tools would be the priority I would think.

I see how each race having all their suits, modules , weapons , vehicles and so on is nice but it really just doesn't change the game to me. Unless we have more of that MMO side then you can say that the game has actually changed. Well, IMHO, it is less about changing the game so much as giving a proper foundation to grow from.

 da GAND,

I am here for the same free form sandbox play that I get in Eve. Only difference being that in Eve, I am in a spaceship and in Dust I am in a Dropsuit possibly riding around in a vehicle.

If I wanted to play JALS*, I'd find it somewhere else.

Spkr4theDead wrote:You're mostly against vehicles, yet make a thread wondering where the Amarr and Minmatar vehicles are.
 I'm confused.
Because you have absolutely no understanding of how I feel about Vehicles and only think I am mostly against them because I don't share your solo pwnmobile aspirations about them.

That is why you are confused, try reading my posts completely and maybe that will clarify things for you.

A "HAR bringer" would be the delivery vehicle for a robot from One Must Fall: 2097 or OMF Battlegrounds. Except I'm pretty sure they don't call them that.
You get a like for fixating on a minor typo.

Where is my rustbucket that creates craters with a thunderous boom from its 250mm main gun and leaves a trail of spent .50 casings in it's wake?

Where is my dunebuggy that speeds around faster than anything else on the battlefield and sends infantry running with the sound of its gun spooling up?

Where is my rusty, well, **** flying, I'm not getting into any terrestrial flying machine held together with duct tape....

Spaceships are one thing, I've got a pod there, terrestrial flying machines don't provide that luxury.
