This game wasn't made for them.
I was going to say the same thing.

Learn to play.
This week I have 300 odd kills at KDR over 7. No tanking or sniping, plenty of pushing objectives and running and gunning. Nothing amazing but pretty solid. Care to share your stats, oh great one? EDIT: Don't worry, got your numbers for you, my liege. Career: 3,437 kills @1.60, win/loss: 0.96. Week: 36 [email protected] KDR, win/loss: 0.23. Got any more tips? I'm eager to learn, master. Let me know when you're willing to use that character to; 1) Jump into cheapo Jihad LAVs at the sight of any enemy tank. 2) Never quit a match even if you're faced by 2 full squads and all your team scrubs leave. 3) Run only solo ambush and domination. 4) Never use a suit worth more than 15k. 5) Be willing to throw away clones for advantage, e.g. die to place an uplink strategically. Let me know when you gain some balls. ^_^ If you do all that stuff, good for you. Still doesn't explain why you're telling a player that gets 20-40 kills per game (plus uplinks, scans, and hacks up the wazoo) to 'Learn to play'. |

CCP consistently rewards cowardly tactics in Dust, thus I can only assume the Icelandic people are cowards who bring shame upon their viking ancestors. It had to be said.
Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

1) Agreed 2) Agreed 3) do u even AV bro? (Agreed) 4) Disagree (unless you are talking redline tanks then totally Agreed) 5) Is this a thing again? If so disagreed unless it's there to kill vehicles then it's totally cool imo 6) I do this from time to time, fun but then I die / get bored and go to a point and defend it till the match ends (Agreed, we need longer vehicle get in / get out times) 7) Agreed (Revive system needs to be so that you ask or assistance and then you can be revived not the current bs we suffer)
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

- Spawn camping: Give us back the short range sensors on Drop Uplinks and CRUGÇÖs.
- Redline sniping: Have a second line 40m behind the Red Line behind which weapons do not function. This still provides an engagement zone if a team is Redlined, but keeps Red Line snipers within range of most weapons if you are willing to go to the edge of the Red Line to hunt them down.
- Tanking (with 1.7 invincible tanks): 1.8 will improve the AV/Tank balance. Expect a Swarm buff.
- Large rail turret sniping: Then kill the dam turret. I got killed twice by a guy that went 8/0 on a Red Line Turret, but then I did not stop what I was doing to destroy the turret, so I canGÇÖt exactly complain about it.
- Tower forging: This is not as much of an issue as it was before they nerfed Forge Gun splash radius. You can snipe them ore call in a dropship.
- Hop in/hop out LAV+heavy combo: Guilty. Sorry. Of course you can still shoot the driver out of a LAV. I also kill LAVGÇÖs with my HMG. I am sure Mass Drivers and Grenades would do a job on them. You could carry AV grenades.
- Reviving into line of fire: They should only count a death as a death if the clone is lost.

Because I've been _very_ often in the situation of playing ambush against proto squad(s) with the team basically falling apart, so I know how to extract myself and establish new positions.
And I'm saying the complaint about spawn killing is sign of someone inexperienced or unwillingness to take loses in exchange for experience.
Tactical awareness is something you have to practice, and I can't remember the last time I got killed close to spawn when it wasn't the intention to get **** deep. |

Tactical awareness is something you have to practice, and I can't remember the last time I got killed close to spawn when it wasn't the intention to get **** deep. I still don't think you're grasping the point that friendly CRUs and objectives no longer show red if they're camped. All the tactical awareness in the world won't tell you that you're spawning in front of five reds and a blaster tank.
Don't get me wrong, I don't often die this way. I am a full proto tryhard with some semblance of gungame, so usually massacre the campers unless the odds are really stacked. But that can't possibly be the balancing factor. A new player can hardly be expecting to mow down multiple campers with their militia AR.
My solution is for CCP to restore team vision to CRUs and objectives. What's your 'tactical awareness'-based solution? Wait til some blues spawn and make sure they don't die, wasting precious time and probably conceding the game? Always spawn at the MCC, again conceding the game? |
