Last night, best game: 3 of us + randoms VS team stack. Myself: Heavy + HMG 42/8 kills/deaths 3000+ WP Ivat Stark: Heavy + HMG 42/10 kills/deaths 3000+ WP Orion Sanjeet: Logi w/ core focused rep tool. 5/6 kills deaths 6000+ WP
Domination. We ended up cloning them. Orion took first place and made 980k ISK I took 2nd with around 700k ISK Ivat took 3rd with around 600k ISK
GG Generals! That was a hard fight!
I am here to ask you one question, and one question only: EXPLOSIONS?

As far as we can figure it goes something like this.
Total ISK value destroyed in battle (Total base payout pool) Suits, vehicles, installations Time spent in battle (Adds to your part of the cut) Placement on the leader board at the end, and WP earned. (Adds to your part of the cut)
Both #1's on each team get the highest payout on their team. Even if team A wins, if team B's #1 has more WP than team A's does, chances are that team B's #1 is getting a higher payout.
Meaning that even if YOU don't personally do all the killing, but the enemy team uses all high end gear and a bunch of non BPO items/vehicles that get destroyed, plus the amount of time YOU spent in battle, plus YOUR contribution to the team effort (WP) = Your payout.
Yes this hurts new players because they can't always contribute to the battle in the form of killing due to how the matchmaking is currently set up. What new players CAN do though is run MLT fits and avoid battle unless absolutely necessary and drop as many uplinks and hives as they can. Stick close behind squads of more experienced players with a rep tool, and a needle, DO NOT RUSH IN FOR A PICKUP UNTIL THE OTHER PLAYERS CLEAR THE AREA, but please feel free to add whatever you can in terms of firepower to aid them. Do not just pick them up and run away (Nobody likes a dirty needle), if you aren't running a logi suit (Even a basic, do they still make MLT logi suits?) and you don't have a rep tool, at least stay with them until they are up and moving again, but for the love of slaughtering the Aamar MAKE SURE THE AREA IS CLEAR BEFORE GOING FOR THE REVIVE or you and your new would be friend (Who could have been revived and kept his suit) are killed (again) by whoever is watching.
If you are pinned down and need to move, think outside the box, cause a distraction and run the other way. (Even an AV grenade thrown at a player will flinch them for a sec until they realize that its harmless) <--- That right there could be the difference of 1 or 2 shots that might kill you, landing on you or not during your escape.
