It's a perfect storm of awful that I can't help but flagellate myself with just hoping it will get better. Just most people go, well I guess i'll just play another fps rpg that doesn't like to screw me over. Yes, there are other fps rpgs though they are mostly on the computer. Free to play even, just not as polished usually... and Korean... but hey at least those games have like a monster or zombie mode or something for PVE.
