Title sez it all.
I'm no longer liking Dust, so I need another game to keep me occupied. I already have the major FPS games like BF3, COD, etc. etc., so I want something different. Something that will take a while to finish, and something cheap (less than $30......I'm not made of money :3).

i highly recommend portal 2, good story and humor and some of those puzzles make you feel like an idiot when you figure them out. i'd also recommend mirror's edge, that game is a classic, i hope dice actually finish the sequel.

Warframe actually, at lowest settings, isn't that hard to run. I dunno how old or how capable your laptop is, but I run Warframe at a stable 30 FPS (noting that a stable 30 is smoother and easier to play than a constantly changing 50-60). There are a couple framerate drops here and there, especially on gamemodes like Survival and Defense, where loot and ammo pickups are EVERYWHERE, but it's never a permanent problem. Throughout my however many months playing, I've only ever had one or 2 missions where the game was so laggy it was near unplayable. If you experience any type of input lag, or connection lag, or whatever (standing in front of an unlocked door for 5 minutes because it won't open, for example), just leave mission and find another one to do. :D

Mirrors Edge, infamous 1 & 2, starhawk, the amazing spiderman, SKATE 3, NFS undercover, lego batman, uncharted 3 free to play, cant think of any more. But definitely ME IN 1 2, and skate. I love running over people with my Razorback in Starhwak.

I'm not sure what games you like. Since you didn't mention any RPG's then I'll assume that might be off of the list. Here is the list of games that are less than 30 bucks but some are even free. I'm also assuming you are NOT a PS+ member.
MGS4
Guild Wars 2 (free and fun in both plot and gameplay)
Infamous 1 and 2 (2 is better in most aspects but the first one was still a blast)
Darksiders 1 and 2 (1 is more action while 2 has action elements but RPG elements as well)
Since I'm an RPG fan I didn't mention them but Tales of Xilia is like 20 bucks or 10 bucks with PS+, Disgea Games last a while and require strategy, Torchlight 1 and 2 are pretty damn good and don't require serious graphics cards. |

Holy crap! really? That's crazy amazing.
I used to play a royalty on Demon's Souls. Get White world Tendancy while staying at soul lvl 10 at Boletarian Palace. Then get Miralda's outfit, plus a crescent sword from Storm Shrine. Upgrade that sucker to 5. Then beat all of of the other worlds (but leave Tower Knight alone.
Bwhaahaha. Then I would constantly invade the bridge with the dragon and fight people at lvl 10 while I had OP weapons and spells. Got so much hate mail for that. 
Oh, and for a fun game, Pokemon X is crazy fun. ^_^
