I can strafe using the ps3 controller, but some people bounce of walls and still able to shoot me. How do they do it? are they using k/m? Maybe I should switch to k/m....... |

No, you shouldn't. DS3 is better at pretty much everything except sniping at the moment. Perhaps you should turn on Aim Assist.

^^^This. As someone who prefers native KB/M support over DS3 mouse emulation(FragFX, XIM, Aimon, Etc..). I have given up on using a real mouse(RAT7) in this game, & have broken out my 5 year old AimonPS. My average KDR has more than doubled since the switch. Even though it doesn't quite "feel" right compared to native mouse input, it is simply more effective. I will admit that if my RAT7 didn't malfunction on me, I may not have even realize how bad the KB/M support is Dust514. But I won't even consider going back until they give us custom key bindings. |

Spray and pray ... spray and pray. It cheapens game play does it not ..??.. and seems more accurate than aiming at times.
It would actually be nice if in gun battles one would have to account for changes in positioning , distance and terrain but that's too much like right.
Future Caldari Heavy so watch out for this Sumo Shinobi with a Caldari HMG .

Back before aim assist, keyboard and mouse used to be king. You could jump, strafe left and right faster than any DS3 user, and have perfect aim. Now, it is highly outclassed by aim assist on DS3.

I was considering do that as well actually, just so I could have the strafe advantage. Given that I think I would win a **** ton more gun fights.

It's like any FPS on any system/PC ever. Jump, strafe and shoot. I do it all the time. My favorite is jumping off a building and laying waste to the enemies below me before I hit the ground. |

Well trust me aiming with KB/M right now is hard work. It feels like someone has took your mouse and done terrible hideous things to it.
And all of this talk that KB/M can strafe faster is total nonsense. Aim Assist is the main thing keeping the game the way it is.
I would love to see AA turned down further or even just out right removed to be honest. Go back to people actually having to aim again. (Oh the horror, aiming for yourself in an FPS game... I know its shocking) |

I've killed people at 30m+ with just RR hipfire. Aim assist for hip fire is absolutely magical. Try it out some time, you'll be shocked. ADS is overrated inside the 50m range, especially given how much ADS reduces your all-important strafe speed. |

I wouldn't call it "Spray and Pray", but......
It's just good FPS skill to know when and when not to ADS.
Sometimes, firing from the hip is a better solution than ADS'ing (Even if you waste more bullets).
At the same time, you gotta know when to ADS as well.
It just comes with practice and experience.
Nothing says "F**K YOU!" like a direct Flaylock to the face.

Aim assist has little to do with kb/m not being king. After Uprising hit kb/m went to complete sh!t; it literally felt like something was pushing my aim away from the people I was trying to shoot like two magnets with the same polarization and it was nearly impossible to select anything on the radial menu that wasn't directly up, right, or down. I use it after every update and after every update it's still sh!tty.

People mention this in terms of AA and 'spray and pray'...I and many others I'm sure do this with shotguns.
It's usually the best way to finish a target/stay alive when they are not subject to OHK due to tanking (imo).
You probably don't know me. But next time you get gunned down or exploded by a Valor scout...check the name.
