I see nothing wrong with the regulator bonus checkmate proposed recently here. So 5% heat build up reduction for the Amarrians isn't an OP bonus ?? Being able to put out 25% more DPS before overheating is huge Larger Clip sizes on Minmatar Weapons isn't an OP bonus ?? Being able to put out more damage before reloading eg a few extra Mass Driver/Flaylock shots, a 25% larger clip size on the CR and SMG is also huge Regulator bonus would be good if Regulators weren't so UP and for that bonus to really be useful then Regulators themselves need to be buffed Frankly your opinion means nothing because it wont be a bonus that affects you so why are you chipping in with your 2 cents ?? How exactly do you know what would be 'beneficial' on a suit that you don't even use ??? Maybe I should start proposing different Sentinel Bonuses seeing as I have very little experience with them .. Anything that is along the lines of the Minmatar and Amarrian bonuses like 2% ROF per level bonus or effective range increased is instantly quashed and is called OP when in actual fact it would be no different to the other bonuses The initial proposed bonuses of ROF for all the races was removed because of 1 Amarrian Weapon not benefitting from it (The Semi Auto SCR) pretty much everyone else was actually quite happy with the bonus for the Assault suits .. honestly they should have given everyone else ROF and Amarrians Heat build up reduction and everyone would've been happy
I'm happy that we don't get a ROF bonus. Think how OP the ACR would be if I could dish out the same RPM as a HMG, with longer range, higher accuracy, and damage per shot. I might have to reload more, but if I see you, you're dead. Period. I can unload the whole mag before you even get 1/4 the way through yours.
As I ran Caldari assault since closed beta, I welcome the shield regulator bonus again, especially since the RR is meant to be a longer range weapon. This allows me to get in, do some stuff with the mag sec SMG, get out while my shields recharge, and sit back at a safer distance plinking away with my RR until the enemy that I just bated into coming out into my optimal has fallen for the trap I've been able to set due to being able to get away and have my shields back at full in the few sec that it takes me to get away.
What you are doing in this post is comparing the Caldari (Typically a longer range, eliminate the threat before it becomes a threat lore and descriptive play-style to the hit and run (Get in, do massive damage, get out) style of the Minmatar, and the juggernaut (slower moving, ever advancing, take no prisoners for our faith) style of the Aamar, and stating that you should have a suit bonus designed to give you the best of both worlds.
I still use my CK.0 to great effect being shield tanked, on the highs, and having complex regs on the lows. I duck out of a fight for 3 sec just before I lose shields, and they are basically full. 8 sec if they are fully depleted. With 150 armor, and higher speed.
It wasn't just the SCR that didnt benifit from the ROF bonus. The standard variant of the CR, TAC AR, Burst AR, PLC, |
