 As most have read,players are always QQing about logis out killing them.
 Stripping logis of their light weapons would only make them disarmed civs in an active battle field.
 Unless....now read this with an open mind.
 In exchange for the ability to fight back...all logi suits get buffed to sentinel armor/shield levels (depending on race).
 As well as a scouts sprinting speed/distance,and high stamina pool + regain.
 Sound crazy? It might,but considering it would pose 0 threat (almost,except R.E.s) it would need to have the capacity to survive without support and escape dangerous situations.
 Logis would truly become supply only suits. And these changes would be the only fair exchange for a logis light weapon (and sidearm if you're amarr).

 i really hate whiners. they are half the reason i seldomly check the forums.
 
 
 its not a bad idea and all, but it rally doent appeal to me to strip logis of their guns at all. i think a batter fix would be the inability to use damage mods.
 
 damage mods are a big problem in this game in my opinion. the fact that you can add raw damage of 15% with proficiency skills, then add damage damage mods is unreasonable. i understand thats what caldari use to counteract tankers, but perhaps mods can be added instead that increase factors such as accuracy, damage per second at the cost of accuracy, ect. stackable? yes

 Yawn, this again. With Rifle nerf, EQ nerf, more side-arm options, and overall buffs to all other classes in the game, the lack of a sidearm is going to be more noticeable than ever in 1.8. The Logi suit doesn't need any more restrictions.

 If you remove the light weapon slot for logistics suits you will be stuck with logis who can not defend themselves or friendlies. You know those shot gunners who appear behind you and shoot you in the back? They run into logis first because we are healing and doing support things. If we can not take them out you are a lot more vulnerable. Secondly how about those times when you get downed by a red dot and the logi cleans up the remaining guys and revives you. That will not happen any more if logis are forced to use pistols and SMG's. I for one would quit playing logi. At that point might as well play COD.
 
 Why does everyone think logis should not be able to kill people. Go play battlefield and you will see the medics are allowed to use the same weapons as their version of assaults.
 
 The logic of removing light weapons from a logi is just as stupid as not allowing heavies to use light weapons. Not allowing assault suits to have an equipment slot.

Though I am not only targeting you with this post, the guy really should not have posted on something if he was only going to criticize it.
 
 I on the other hand think its a good idea. But I kinda think they should at least have a sidearm as some form of protection, if not, maybe a grenade slot.

 reduce high slots on armor tanking suits.
 
 problem solved. no more brick tanking. no more damage mod stacking.

 So i'm the only one that thinks being as durable as a sentinel yet as fast as a scout isn't a bad thing?
 Slot layouts would stay the same except the weapon slot would be replaced by another eq slot.(5 at pro level)
 Logis could still have grenades.
 I even did EVE background checking,on ships you MUST sacrifice a weapon for a rep tool,BUT you can tank well and are really fast.
 As a true logibro that doesn't care about my KDR this idea becomes more appealing by the second.

 Yes BUT under some conditions :
 - Logistics receive a 5% damage per level for Sidearms.
 Logistics would be deadly at close range but almost useless at range.
 Like a Combat Engineer.
 -Amarr receive something else. (There's no 2 Amarr sidearms).
 You can't just nerf amarr twice more than others.
 - An equipements is an AI Little turret. (Amarr would get bonus on it since it's a Combat logi)
