Just came out of a battle where the opposing team had 3 to 4 tanks stomping around with turbo boosters not giving my team a fair chance at a match. There definately needs 2 b limits on the number of tanks allowed at any given moment per team. I have spent alot of time and real money in this game, and I am starting to feel cheated when I cant enjoy a decent fair match. |

Just... wait and the tanks will be fixed. I paid quite a bit into this game as well. I just want tanks dialed back slightly, enough to where Infantry stand half a chance, and yet, make it more difficult than pre-1.7.

I tank. I agree. But it would be better to just require the sp to make the tank useful. Hoping the mil tanks get nerfed so that AV can dispose of them easily. Mil tank/mil AV.
Funny how most all tankers on the forums will justify one tank as being better than one infantry. That is true, it should be. But, then you have to concede that limiting tanks is different than limiting infantry. A tank is a tank you are going to do one thing with that tank. Not everybody is going to bother going FG or AV. Otherwise, infantry don't affect tanks. Tanks effect infantry no matter what.
Otherwise, to disagree with limiting tanks is to agree with their eventual nerf to paper thinness. Most tankers have said they prefer strong, nearly invulnerable tanks.
I like the latter and I want the sp to matter. That will offset the tank spam.

Nah, they just need to add a slot for every suit that holds one grenade that one-shots a tank every time. However, not many people would use it, because you'd have to run out to the red line every time, and that gets tiresome.
Free, on-demand Respecs. Because it doesn't matter and no one should care.
Matchmaking by KDR proximity. :)

nerf blaster damage to infantry so tanks can stay tough. thus making tanks vs infantry more about supression while infantry flanks and flushes them out for tank clean up or vice versa. in other words, tanks rely more on cooperation and teamwork with infantry to kill infantry.
Then nerf railguns enough to still trump blasters but no more super quick kills, give the recipient at least some time to react.
oh and give a decent damage buff to swarms an AV nades to the current FG levels since their range is garbage.
boom vehicles are fixed...(except ADSs...whatever kamikazi viper them if they're OP..)

Pff once my whole team in Ambush was tanks....16 tanks we did not lose a single clone, so yeah.

How can you expect AV to require multiple people to take down an HAV and then turn right around and refuse to have the same restriction applied to you?
What is good for the goose is good for the gander too.
If I and other Infantry are to rely on the bluedots or our squadmates to help with AV, you and the other Tankers should need to rely on bluedots or your squadmates to help manage your vehicle.
IMHO, it is either Crew Service for HAVs or suck it up and deal with getting soloed by one guy with Swarms.
This is New Eden, don't expect to HAV your cake and eat it too.

Secondly, I would appreciate if you ceased fearmongering regarding the pilot suit. You seem to have based your entire argument on a dropsuit that is as of yet non-existent in game. When it is in game, we can cross that bridge, not before.
What follows is all speculation, though so is nearly 100% of your argument against Crew Service.
Lastly, you also seem to be under the impression that the different pilot suits would have effects on the same HAVs, when we get them, IDK that that is how it will work. Look at how CCP is attempting to give racial fidelity to dropsuits and weapons, do you really think that they wouldn't do the same with dropsuits and vehicles?
Beyond that, you seem to also be under the impression that all of the dropsuits in the HAV would stack bonuses, I would imagine that, if CCP included Crew Service, they would tie the pilot suit (if it turns out to be more than vaporware) bonuses to seats (i.e. driver would only get bonuses if the suit was bonused for driving type things, gunners would only get bonuses if the suit was bonused for gunner type things). I seriously doubt that they would give the pilot suits blanket stacking bonuses to the vehicle. TBH, I doubt that more than one pilot per HAV would have any point (likely only applying if the pilot is the driver of the HAV).
Can you just admit that you're against Crew Service since you don't want to have to share your dropsuit security blanket with 3 others?

Back to back matches? The same match? A day? 3 days? A week? A few isolated situations that don't happen multiple times a day doesn't invalidate an argument. We very rarely come up against coordinated AV, so that invalidates your argument.

Yeah, really. Good thing it's a video game. So, like sports (which is a game) things can start from a standpoint of fairness. But, I wouldn't expect computer nerds who have zero military or sports experience to understand the difference.
Seems there are one too many players that try to make up for lack of real military experience by trying to be macho, talking about "being a man" in combat like they know what that is and treating this game like it's the real thing; like it's a duty or something to keep on pushing those objectives instead of grabbing a beer and saying f*ck it.
Lol, like this game is any different than Call of Duty anyway. All these FPS combat games are silly kiddie video games.

I think tanking would be more interesting if a player could only summon one per match, and if it were destroyed, he was forced to either call another vehicle type or go infantry. It would add all kinds of tension to tanking that's been missing ever since the price dropped. |
