A typical mirror would maybe prevent it from dealing damage for a few microseconds, but even it would absorb enough energy to just melt like everything else. The best defense against a Laser Weapon would be thick heat thick armor with great heat dispersion qualities. Even if the other empires managed to develop 100% reflective surfaces, the Amarr could just use different wavelength frequencies to bypass it completely. Mirrors don't stop Radio Waves... Not increasing the zoom, increasing the field of view (FOV) while zoomed in. Basically you'll be able to see more to your left and right and generally have more awareness. With the loss of the reduction to heat build-up of the amarrian assault suits, does this mean that the laser is still going to be kinda meh? Especially at standard levels? To put it another way... they laser is pretty horrible on non-assault suits at present, will these changes mean that the standard laser = laser on non-assault suits now, but with more range? While there is no better place to be wealthy than the Gallente Federation, there is no hell worse for the poor either.

All the other weapons get more damage AND some additional stuff like accuracy, range, charge time, etc. Also all the other rifles get increased range as they progress though the tiers. I don't personally like this but the laser should get it too. Oh well something is better than nothing.
