My method is to sprint, jump, and spray midair. Once i land if they're not dead i sprint to a 25-30 degree angle next to them and repeat.

I use side to side in longer 1vs1 but in cqc I tend to use figure 8

Try and strafe on a hill.
That way, you are move left & right AND up & down.
The PC and SL should fit into the Sidearm slot so it's accessible and practical to carry one.

Depends on the suit.
If I'm in a scout suit, I like to jump over people's heads

It works best if you change it up, get used to doing a strafing pattern that feels right to you and a few others to throw in every now and then to throw people off in heated duels. I personally like jumping, but that's a bad habit I have from halo and quake.. You really shouldn't jump too frequently, it should be saved for the end of a fight to get them to miss those that few shots, because if it is overused it makes you easier to hit since you cannot maneuver nearly as well midair. |

Great question and some great answers in this thread. To add, you want to outsmart the opponent. So you want to move erratically and don't project your movements. It's like boxing. You don't want the opponent where you will move to next so keep it fresh.

Strafe in circles on a hill, and you will be a lot harder to kill.

jump over them and headhsot in midair. It only works on a scout if that doesnt kill them or you miss, then strafe.

Honestly, if they aren't scanning (lol) or you're dampened so you don't show up on their scans, you could moonwalk across an open field right into them and most wouldn't notice you. |

What weapon are they using? If it's a rifle or hmg good luck getting much out of a strafe, it's close your eyes and spray left to right and let AA do the work for you.
I watched a guy spray his rail rifle all over the damn place, and I just sat there thinking "geez this thing has a ton of ammo, how long until he realizes I'm behind him?" |
