Scanners are getting the nerfed they've earned.
But there will be those that try to find work arounds.(eg. proto logi with nothing but proto scanners as eq)
My request:
-Limit 1 scanner (regardless of tier) per fitting
This would prevent any future scan spam.

if a proto logi is wasting all slots on a scanner big deal
that means less armor hive abuse it means he wont be able to rep or place res or revive his allies
so guess what i hope all my enemies are packing nothing but scanners they cant shoot and scan and it notifies when scanned

If a logi goes to the trouble of fitting four scanners to his suit he has every right to spam them. He has sacrificed his utility for scanning power. That seems fine and balanced to me. |

If a Logi is running 4 scanners (I'm assuming with the newly narrow racial bonus applied here) then he's gimping himself because he really only needs 2 in order to keep up perma scans  at least at proto level (some scanners may only be "near perma" with 2 but close enough  ).

I really can't help feeling that while the spirit of "give logi support skills that are racially tied" is nice the actual skills themselves are rather poorly done.

I'd tend to agree.
I did like someone's (kagehoshi?) idea that they should have several weaker themed bonuses. So maybe minmatar get bonuses to speed of equipment (spawn time reduction, ammo resupply rate, arming time for REs, scan time...) and perhaps amarr gets bonuses to endurance of equipment (number of spawns, hive capacity, number of REs carried...). Stuff like that. That thread (which I've failed to find :( ) had better ideas. |

then why not limit uplinks to only 1 type per suit, and same with nanohives?
this would stop equipment spam.
